The following are previous humanoid / cryptid encounter reports received by various agencies worldwide:

THE MAPINGUARY

A July 2007 report from Rio Branco, Brazil states that a creature with one eye, like the Cyclops of Greek mythology, as well as a gaping mouth was seen wandering in the deep jungle. The creature was tall, seven feet or more when it stood on two legs, that it emitted a strong, extremely disagreeable odor, and that it has thick, matted fur.

Geovaldo Karitiana, 27, a member of the Karitiana tribe, claims to have seen as similar creature in 2003, as he was hunting in the jungle near an area that his tribe calls "the cave of the mapinguari."

"It was coming toward the village and was making a big noise," he said in a recent interview on the tribe's reservation in the western Amazon. "It stopped when it got near me, and that's when the bad smell made me dizzy and tired. I fainted, and when I came to, it was gone."

Mr. Karitiana's father, Lucas, confirmed his son's account. He said that when his son took him back to the site of the encounter, he saw a cleared pathway where the creature had departed, "as if a boulder had rolled through and knocked down all the trees and vines."

NOTE: The mere mention of the mapinguari, the giant sloth-like monster of the Amazon, is enough to send shivers down the spines of almost all who dwell in the world's largest rain forest. The name is usually translated as "the roaring animal" or "the fetid beast." Though the descriptions of the mapinguari may resemble the Sasquatch of North America, the comparison stop there. Unlike its counterparts in the Northern Hemisphere, the creature is said not to flee human contact, but to aggressively hunt down the hunter, turning the tables on those who do not respect the jungle's unwritten rules and limits...Lon

WILD GIANTS

Wahiawa, Hawaii - 1973 - late night

Rob Carlson had gone to the river in Whitmore Village with his friends to catch catfish. They laid traps in the river for about an hour, intending to come back in the morning to gather up the fish. As they were busy putting in their traps, they heard a blood-curdling scream. It sounded at first like a wild man screaming in the bushes right next to them. In a state of panic the witnesses began to run. As they got to the top of the hill, running down a little trail, they came to a curve in the path. As they entered the curve, they all stopped dead in their tracks. An 8-foot tall man was walking down the trail, heading right for them. He was naked except for a cloth around his waist. They turned and ran back to the river. As he stumbled down the side of the embankment, a giant woman stepped out from behind a tree. She must have been at least seven feet tall. Turning downriver they ran until they came out of the ravine safely. Giant footprints were found at the site.

BIZARRE SPECTRE

Puerto de Alisas, Spain - April 4, 1991 - late night

Jose Saiz was traveling alone on an isolated road and as he was rounding a curve he saw what he thought at first to be a sheet floating in the air on the side of the road. It now floated on the center of the road and the witness slowed down and turned on the high beams. Suddenly he was stunned to realize that it was not a "sheet" but a man-like figure. It was moving towards the witness, moving its arms very slowly as if it were swimming. Little by little it moved off to the right and feet first, descended to the ground.

The now terrified witness could see that it was a tall man wearing something resembling a dark flowing tunic. It moved in strange leaps and bounds as the witness noticed that it had a very pale face with a pointed chin. As the witness drove by the figure he looked more closely and was able to see more details. It had a long bony pale face, somewhat resembling that of a corpse. Its whole face and body appeared to be illuminated by a dim glow, bluish reddish in color. It had long straight hair almost white in color and was shoulder length. Its hands and feet were long, bony and strong looking. He was apparently barefooted. The humanoid was easily over 2 meters in height and wore something on his forehead resembling a diadem or tiara. The humanoid facial expression was that of extreme resigned sadness and fear. This scared the witness who as he drove by the figure saw it bend down in an almost mechanical fashion. The witness attempted to accelerate the car but it had inexplicably lost power. The vehicle suddenly accelerated and the witness left the bizarre being behind. The witness had the impression that he humanoid remained on the road as if waiting for something or someone.

THE HEALERS

Jay, Florida - June 1986 - late night

The main witness was sleeping with her young daughter, who was suffering from an in-operable cancerous brain tumor, in her bedroom when she suddenly awoke to see three cloaked beings that were standing at the foot of their bed. They were apparently communicating with each other but not with the witness. When the witness attempted to reach over to touch her daughter she realized that she was unable to move. All she could do was move her eyes. The beings then came over to the side of her bed and a very peaceful feeling came over her, the being that was directly opposite to the witness right shoulder bend over and touched her daughter, and everything went quiet and the witness memory ended at this point.

The next day her daughter experienced a massive nosebleed she apparently expelled a very large blood clot from her nose, almost gagging her. A few months later the witness took her daughter for a new CT scan. Soon she was surprised to learn that her daughter's tumor was completely gone apparently removed by a laser, according to her doctor (name deleted). Her daughter is now cancer free.

SMALL ELEPHANT TRUNKS

Near Milnthorpe, Cumbria, UK - July 1965 - late night

A couple and their baby son were making an overnight journey when they pulled over for a cigarette break at a rest area. Shortly after pulling in they noticed an intense red light, which appeared lens or domed shaped, behind a nearby dry stonewall. Within this light were three small creatures that seemed to give off a slight green luminescence. The humanoids were described as having large round staring eyes and a long nose that looked like a "small elephant trunk" with a mouth that appeared as just a slit. They had large heads and almost turnip shaped, and their bodies were round with hands with digits that were not defined. Two of the three entities had their arms held out in front of them as if gesturing. No definite muscle tone or bone structure was seen, and they did not appeared to be wearing any clothing. The humanoids appeared about 15 feet from the car in front of the wall when the object's brilliance was noticed.

Both witnesses became frightened and drove off without seeing the humanoids depart. Later both witnesses felt silly for reacting in a frightened manner towards the creatures, because they had an impression that they meant no harm.

Unexplained Object Captured on Camera in Western Australia

A Woodvale, Western Australia stargazer has captured a series of extraordinary photographs of what he says could be an unidentified flying object hovering above Bendigo.

Forty-eight-year-old Colin Davis told the Bendigo Advertiser he spotted the object last Saturday night (January 8) between midnight and 5am.

Mr Davis, who is a retired camera operator, said he was standing at the back door of his home, facing west, when he noticed something strange in the sky.

"At first, I thought it was a bright star and it appeared to follow the same path," he said.

"But I kept watching and once the sun started to come up it remained very bright and I realised I was looking at something very different."

Mr Davis said he had previously been sceptical of UFO sightings, but the extraordinary encounter had turned him into a believer.

"Don't ask me who was driving that thing, but there was definitely something unexplainable hovering overhead," he said.

Discovery, Science and Technology Centre Bendigo planetarium co-ordinator Craig Kendal said there could be a more simple explanation.

"It's possible the flying object was in fact Sirius, the brightest star in the sky," Mr Kendal said.

Mr Davis said a similar flying object was spotted by NASA satellite cameras conducting the space tether experiment in 2007.

The experiment, which was a joint venture between the US and Italy, called for a large spherical satellite to be deployed from a US space shuttle at the end of a 20-kilometre-long conducting cable tether.

The idea was to let the shuttle drag the tether across the Earth's magnetic field, producing one part of a dynamo circuit.

But during the experiment, a UFO, of similar appearance to that sighted by Mr Davis, was filmed approaching the tether before flying out of screen.

"I compared the images with footage from a YouTube clip titled 'tether NASA'," Mr Davis said.

"And what was astounding was the similarity in the shapes, markings and hole formations on both the flying objects."

Bendigo Airport manager Bridget Conroy said that to her knowledge no aircraft, including helicopters, were in flight from midnight to 4am on Saturday.

Ion Deflector Shield for Interplanetary Spaceships Now a Reality

universetoday - British scientists invent "mini-magnetosphere" to protect astronauts during solar storms.

Space travel during a solar storm just became a little less risky. UK scientists working at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford and the universities of York and Strathclyde have tested a "mini-magnetosphere" enveloping a model spacecraft in the lab. It turns out that their prototype offers almost total protection against high energy solar particles. By mimicking the natural protective environment of the Earth, the researchers have scaled the protective magnetic bubble down into an energy efficient, yet powerful deflector shield.

This astounding achievement is a big step toward protecting sensitive electronics and the delicate human body against the radioactive effects of manned missions between the planets. It may sound like science fiction, but future astronauts may well shout the order to "RAISE SHIELDS!" if the Sun flares up during a 36 million mile journey to Mars…

On writing "Scientists Designing 'Ion Shield' To Protect Astronauts From Solar Wind" way back in January, I was a little dubious as to whether the preliminary results could be replicated on a full-scale spaceship. At the time, Dr Ruth Bamford (the lead researcher from Rutherford Appleton) had created a mini version of a magnetic shield that acted as a "bubble" in a stream of ions. As ions were charged, they could be deflected by a magnetic field, so the field acts as a barrier to deflect the paths of these ions around the void encapsulated by the magnetic field. All that had to be done was to scale the idea up a notch or two and then place a spaceship in the middle of the protected void. Solved!

Not so fast. The biggest drawback I could see back in January was the large amount of energy that would be required to power the system. After all, to generate a stable, spaceship-sized mini-magnetosphere would need a vast quantity of electricity (and be very bulky), or it would need to be highly efficient (and compact). As this is space travel we're talking about, the scientists would need to look into the latter. The mini-magnetosphere would need to be a highly efficient device.

Eleven months later and it looks like the British team have found their answer. In results just published in the journal Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion, they have devised a system no bigger than a large desk that uses the same energy as an electric kettle. Two mini-magnetospheres will be contained within two mini satellites located outside the spaceship. Should there be an increase in solar wind flux, or an approaching cloud of energetic particles from a flare and/or coronal mass ejection (CME), the magnetospheres can be switched on and the solar ions are deflected away from the spacecraft.

"These initial experiments have shown promise and that it may be possible to shield astronauts from deadly space weather," Dr Bamford said. After all, the effects of radiation poisoning can be devastating.

Prof. Bob Bingham, a theoretical physicist at the University of Strathclyde, gives a graphic account as to why this technology is important:

"Solar storms or winds are one of the greatest dangers of deep space travel. If you got hit by one not only would it take out the electronics of a ship but the astronauts would soon take on the appearance of an overcooked pizza. It would be a bit like being near the Hiroshima blast. Your skin would blister, hair and teeth fall out and before long your internal organs would fail. It is not a very nice way to go. This system creates a Magnetic Field Bubble that would deflect the dangerous radiation away from the spacecraft." – Prof. Bob Bingham

Bingham added that the team was currently patenting the technology and hopes to have a working full size prototype within five years. So we might have to wait some time until we see some pictures of the system in action…

Virginia Beach Police Instructed on Vampires

wvec - If you don't take something like vampires seriously, retired Virginia Beach police officer Don Rimer may be able to change your mind.

Rimer says, "When I show them the pictures of crime scenes and the interviews with the families and victims over the years, it's dead silence."

Rimer has investigated occult crimes for more than two decades.

With the growing popularity of books, shows, and movies like Twilight and True Blood, more and more frightening cases involving groups like self-proclaimed vampires are turning up.

"Kids have taken this on as a lifestyle and religion and have killed in the name of it. They've killed parents and classmates," adds Rimer.

While it's just an image for some people, some local students are seeing classmates taking things more seriously.

Maury High School student Brittany Tavers says, "Some people are biting each other on their necks. They just want to be vampires or werewolves. I guess they don't realize that it's fake."

Rimer will lead a seminar on ritual crimes Saturday in Newport News.

The ultimate goal is to keep people informed about satanic groups and to keep ritual crimes out of Hampton Roads.

Rimer says, "Cases like that are popping up over the last several years and will continue to do that when we turn a blind eye to what our children are getting involved in."

Do Moscow UFOs Fulfill Fulham's Predictions?

On December 3, 2010, the recently deceased retired NORAD officer, Stanley Fulham, predicted a major wave of UFO sightings in Moscow in early-to-mid January. This was to be followed a week later by a major UFO wave in London. Fulham's prediction raised considerable interest given his earlier success in predicting a major UFO sighting over New York City on October 13. What was particularly noteworthy about his earlier prediction was that the FAA radar facility responsible for three major airports in the New York City metropolitan area was shut down for an hour leading to flight delays. Caught off guard by Fulham's apparent success, I like many others paid more attention to his next prediction about UFOs in Moscow and London. There have indeed been UFOs sightings in Moscow during period Fulham predicted, but to date these have only been reported by one source and been observed over one location. Nevertheless, this has led to one reporter declaring that Fulham's prediction has been fulfilled.

In his most recent Examiner article, Alfred Webre writes: "A remarkable UFO wave over Moscow, Russia in early January 2011 has reportedly confirmed the predictions of an apparent regional galactic governance council that its interdimensional spacecraft would appear over Moscow Russia at that time." Webre lists eight youtube videos confirming the "remarkable UFO wave." The problem is that six of the videos are taken by one person, Oleg Tarabanov over the same location over the first two weeks of January. The seventh is of a hard to see object in an entirely different rural location; and the eighth UFO video has been pulled and is no longer available.

The videos by Tarabanov are the most interesting and clearly show up to two UFO objects over a location that appears to be in an industrial area of Moscow.

While Tarabanov's videos are interesting evidence of what appears to be up to two UFOs, they hardly constitute a "UFO wave"; and, most importantly, there has been no independent confirmation of Oleg's videos. Neither the Russian general public nor media have reported UFO sightings in the period specified by Fulham. This contrasts with the New York UFO October 13 event that was seen by thousands of witnesses and widely reported in the media.

So can the minimal UFO activity reported by Tarabanov from Moscow in early January 2011, be put down as yet another failed UFO prediction, or has Fulham been confirmed as Webre claims with enormous exopolitical significance? Of the latter possibility, Webre writes: "The January 2011 apparent galactic governance UFO sightings over Moscow Russia undescore an apparent determination by the ET council to break the USA-Russia 'conspiracy of silence' around the extraterrestrial presence…" In this reporter's opinion, it is premature to declare Fulham's prediction has been confirmed. Especially so if the goal was to break a US-Russian "conspiracy of silence." Perhaps, there is more to come in Moscow or a wave of UFOs will appear over London as Fulham predicted, In either case, the exopolitical significance of Fulham's predictions will deservedly come under closer scrutiny.

UFOs Over The Central Coast, NSW, Australia

Historically, the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia has been a major hotspot for UFO sightings and reports. The book 'The Gosford Files' details the 1995-96 flap where police officers are mentioned in several cases, in particular one incident where the local police were chasing a strange flying metallic craft back and forth across the bay all night. As residents called to report that they were woken by a thunderous roar and blinding lights, animals howled or cowered and hid, and parties suddenly erupted into anti-social behavior.

I have listed a few interesting observations by residents of the Central Coast including a mysterious encounter that involved several people in Terrigal / Gosford, NSW.

A former air traffic controller has inquired about a strange object he witnessed.

Lindsay Carter, of Terrigal, said he was reluctant to speak out but had become so frustrated at not being able to identify it he has called on the public to provide an answer.

''If someone can tell me it's the 2.30pm (passenger flight) from Brisbane then I would be happy,'' he said.

But after three years with the British Air Force as an air traffic controller and a lifetime interest in planes, Mr Carter, 63, said he was confident at being able to identify almost every kind military or commercial aircraft.

''This is different-looking enough for anyone to find it strange,'' he said.

''A UFO is just that, an unidentified flying object. I'm not talking about little green men. I'd be happy with an earthbound explanation.'' But so far no explanations have been forthcoming.

Others have seen the strange comet-like object during daylight hours, including assistants of a nearby takeaway shop.

Mr Carter said it had a contrail, the line of condensation in the sky caused by planes at high altitude, but it was shorter.

The contrail was also pointed slightly up compared to conventional planes.

''I have seen things in the sky in England and Australia but nothing compares to this,'' he said.

He first noticed the object about two years ago and said he had seen it about 50 times.

Extremely brilliant carbon-arc bright object.

RAAF Wing Commander Tomkins and wife and child (Alexander?) saw an extremely brilliant carbon-arc bright object to the east about 7.5° elevation in very slow level flight to the left or north for about one minute over about 8° of arc, estimated at about 2,000 feet height and two miles away. Object suddenly turned east and departed away from the observers at high speed disappearing in about 20 seconds.

Balloon-like object observed.

One ball was observed by three military witnesses on the shore for one minute (Tomkins).

REPORT:
On 18/5/06 at 9.49am, Mr P was driving through the Central Coast suburb of Terrigal and saw an object, which at first glance, thought it to be an aircraft as it was leaving a contrail.

After viewing the object for about 5 minutes, Mr P then saw an aircraft come very close to the object which then made him realise that both objects looked quite different to each other and what he first viewed was not an aircraft. He has no idea what is was, but seems to think there are a few strange things happening in the Central Coast area.

Mr P took a photo of the object with his mobile phone and is going to forward it on to AUFORN. He is a private investigator and has seen quite a few strange things in daylight hours while doing investigations and has forwarded a report onto AUFORN earlier this year.

Early this morning, around 3am, I was in a taxi traveling home from Terrigal (East Coast, New South Wales, Australia). We were passing through Ettalong when I looked out the left window when I spotted a orange ball of light high in the sky. It appeared to be moving horizontally across the sky before it began to descend. It didn't seem to be traveling at a very high speed. As it descended it seemed to burst into a fireball and descend more rapidly until it broke into about 3 different visible pieces. My friend was sitting in the back seat with me and she asked me if it was a shooting star. I have seen many shooting stars and this wasn't one. Unfortunately as I was in the car, I wasn't able to tell if there was any noise coming from this object. I assumed that it was a meteor of some kind but after having carried out some minor investigation and having read these stories I realised that there have been many sightings of orange "orbs" around the central coast area and along the east coast of NSW… Strange.

news.com.au - March 29, 2010 - There's something strange happening in the skies over a little patch of our pristine holiday coast.

The suburbs around Gosford, on the Central Coast in NSW, are the state's biggest hot spot when it comes to UFO sightings, with dozens of seemingly authentic cases reported every year, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Each month, as many as 30 people turn up to meetings to share their UFO experiences.

UFO Research NSW secretary Joann Kanda, who helps organise the meetings, saw what she believed was a UFO near her home at The Entrance in the mid-1990s.

"It was just a sort of a glowing light in the middle of the night," she said.

"The dogs made a strange noise and I got up. There was something up in the sky with a greenish glow."

The region was the scene for one of Australia's most baffling UFO cases - a series of sightings in 1995 and 1996 - that were reported by police and many other credible witnesses.

Residents have told of seeing shiny, spherical, illuminated UFOs that often hovered above water.

UFO Research NSW's Doug Moffett said UFOs were commonly spotted over water or near power plants and the Central Coast had plenty of both.

The geography of the Central Coast may also play a part. It is heavily populated in parts, which means there are people around to spot UFOs, but still isolated enough for them to be visible in the night sky.

"What UFOs do is, largely speaking, covert in nature. They're obviously not landing at the steps of the Opera House and saying, 'Take me to your leader'," Mr Moffett said.

The UFO and Paranormal Research Society of NSW said the Blue Mountains also figured heavily in UFO sighting reports.

A group of enthusiasts spent the weekend in the mountains searching for UFOs they say visit the area each year in the last week of March.

One of the group, who declined to be named, said that in past years the craft had appeared above the Burragorang Valley, beyond Jenolan Caves, and were seen to hover for some time.

Several readers have reported seeing UFOs near Wollongong a week ago.

One said that about 8.15pm last Sunday, a trio of orange lights appeared overhead grouped in a triangular formation and moved silently through the air.

"There were probably another four in a straight line from Stanwell Park directly over our place," he said.
