Today, I received this interesting anecdote from "Travis":

I am an avid listener of Mysterious Universe, and occasionally they will mention your blog, and read posts from people who have written personal stories that they forward to you. I would like to share with you my personal encounter with the paranormal, something which has haunted me since childhood, and something which still haunts me today.

When I was a little kid my parents and I moved out of our apartment and into a new large house with my aunt and uncle. My aunt and uncle lived on the upper floor, while my parents and I lived on the ground floor.

The first paranormal memory that I had in that house was during one afternoon when I was around six years old. I was sitting in my room, on my bed, reading a book. I remember hearing a very distinct sneezing sound, which sounded like it was made by a little girl. Without giving it a second thought I quickly said "gesundheit", and got a courteous reply back of "thank you".

My head instantly perked up, realizing what just happened. I quickly got up from my sitting position, and darted out of my room to see if it was my mom. I ended up having to travel to the other side of the house to find her, where she was sitting in the living room watching TV.

Perhaps not the most paranormal incident in the world, and it's entirely possible that I had imagined someone sneezing and saying thank you, but the following was not imagined.

Several months after that event a second paranormal experience occurred. It was a Saturday afternoon, and I was sitting in the living room with my Dad, watching TV. The commercial breaks came on, and my father asked me if I could get him a beer. I once again had no second thought about this, and instantly got up to retrieve him a beer. However, as soon as I stood up I realized where exactly I would have to go. You see, my father kept his beer in a mini-fridge, at the bottom of the steps of the basement. The basement, had always scared me. Besides the fact that it was unfinished, always dark, and old, there was a "feeling" down there. It's almost indescribable. Like, as if something were extremely angry at you, and wanted to pull you in, and at the same time push you away.

At any rate, I couldn't turn back, I knew my Dad would be angry at me if I refused, and at the moment his wrath seemed more real. So I walked out of the living room, down the hallway, and towards the basement. I stood at the top of the steps, and for some reason, today seemed different. There was more fear as I approached the steps, the feeling that the basement carried was far more intense this time than it had ever been before. I grabbed the wooden railing, which looked as if it were already covered in blood, and slowly made my way down the steps. With each step that I took deeper into the basement, the more fear arose in me. The sensation grew stronger and stronger, to the point where I was nearly paralyzed with fear.

As I reached the bottom, I felt the urge to turn my head towards the left. There was a section in the wall there, which looked like the previous owner had cut out in order to add more space to the basement. With my head facing that direction I desperately wanted to scream at whatever was down there, but all I could get out was a weak "Hello?". At that very moment I saw two red eyes appear from that hole. Fight or flight instantly kicked in, and I flew. I ran up the steps, made the turn as my father caught me halfway down the hallway, asking what was wrong.

I told him what I saw, and he instantly ran down the stairs to investigate, saying to stay back, that it might be a wild animal. He came back up, saying he didn't find any thing.

Shortly after that, maybe a week or so passed, we had an outdoor BBQ at my house. It was the usual people, me, my parents, and my aunt & uncle. Every one was outside, and I had decided to go in to get myself a drink. I entered through the front door, as the back door lead directly to the basement which, at this point, I desperately wanted to avoid it at all costs.

As I was leaving the kitchen I decided that today I was going to be brave, that I was going to face my fears head on. I walked towards the back door, and sat at the top of the steps. As I sat down, I once again had that feeling wash over me, but I stood my ground, wanting to face whatever was inhabiting my basement. The longer I stayed, the more the fear grew, but what seemed like an instant, I saw it. It was a shadow of a person, the sex I couldn't make out, nor any distinct features. I saw the shadow instantly hit the wall to the right of the stairs, and begin to move closer to them. I once again panicked, running outside.

I told my dad that I saw something down in the basement again, but this time it looked like a person's shadow. He wasn't hesitant in running into the house, trying to find out whoever was in our house. Once more though, he would return saying he didn't find anything.

That's the end of the basement, or at least, what I can remember, but it isn't the end of my paranormal experiences.

The hardest incident to remember, and the one that brings out my emotions and tears, happened upstairs. I really struggle with remembering the upstairs, but I know something did happen, I just can't recall what. There was something definitely up there, and I could feel something happened, but it's not coming to me. There was a sensation, fear, pain. A door closed on me, she was there, it's how I got my burn mark. That's all that is coming to me, I really don't know.

When I was 10 we moved out of the house. I wish I could tell you that was the end of my experiences, but unfortunately it wasn't. They continue to haunt me today, but not in a physical manner. Instead, they return to me in the form of nightmares. The nightmares are always the same, and either take place in one of two areas of the house. The upstairs, or the basement.

If I find myself in a nightmare in the basement, it acts as a progression. With each nightmare, I go deeper into the basement. Each time I begin to go down the steps, and most recently I've been able to reach the bottom. I want to scream, and yell so desperately at it but I can't, nothing comes out. I've only seen what's down there once, and even than it was a vague glimpse. I remember darkness, frantic wild hair, it floating. I've always called her a witch, but I don't know if she is or not.

Finally, there is the upstairs. This one always plays out the same too, where I find myself in the upstairs kitchen. I walk towards the room where my aunt & uncle used to sleep. It was in the back of the house. Every time I enter that room, is notice a bed, but the rest of the room is empty. The bed is covered in that frilly Victorian-era stuff, and each time I move it away, to find a corpse of a woman laying in the bed. Sometimes she's in a coffin, sometimes she isn't. Her eyes are closed, but than open, and that's where it ends. Normally this nightmare comes first, followed by the one in the basement the next night.

Before I end this post, I want to add one more thing that I just remembered. My Mom told me a couple off-hand times, that when I was little and living in that house, she would often find me upstairs, instead of the basement. From the time we first moved in (when I was 4) to when we moved out (when I was 10). She told me one night she decided to stay up to see what was happening. Apparently, I was sleep walking, but she never told me much more than that.

I know it's long, and I apologize for that. I'm writing all this mostly because I'd like your help, or perhaps your opinion on all of this. Have you ever heard of a haunting taking place in some one's nightmares after they have left the place? What do you think it could be?

NOTE: I want to thank Travis for the email. There are times when traumatic events manifest in our dreams. Some people have the ability to see future events while sleeping...though rarely in stark detail. Since you have trouble recalling the details of an incident in the upstairs there is a good chance that you were actually 'sleepwalking' or conducting activity while in a state of sleep. I witnessed the phenomenon in my daughter when she was young...when awake, she was never able to recall any events that took place while she was 'sleepwalking'.

Also, many children have the ability to sense spiritual beings and often communicate with these entities. This usually wears away as they get older...but some retain this ability through adulthood.

Strange Lights - Coleman, Texas

MUFON CMS - 2/17/2011 - unedited: It all started out with my wife and I traveling south on US 283 towards Coleman, TX at night. With my cruise control set, the radio tuned and near perfect driving conditions I was set for the long haul south to San Antonio. Driving down the dark, desolate highway with hardly any traffic I remained focused on the highway searching for the one line backer deer to confront my three quarter ton truck. In the course of driving I looked over to see a green sign telling me I had ten miles to Coleman and my wife telling me to look over at the full moon that was on its way up like a homesick angel. I gazed at the moon for several seconds and observed several airliners passing by along with a low flying airplane with distinguishable nav lights and anti-collision lights. We continued driving when my wife said look at the satellite moving across the sky towards the moon. With a clear sky I was able to locate the moving object and watched it travel from the south to the east and disappear as most satellites do. I continued my drive down the highway when my wife pointed towards the moon and said look. I looked and observed an orange light directly below the rising moon which appeared stationary for several seconds and then disappeared. My first thought was Dyess Air Force Base was in nearby Abilene and that the B-1B bombers were out playing and lighting the afterburners. I continued to search for the orange light for several minutes with no sight. Finally we arrived in Coleman, TX. I located a Pizza Hut off the highway and pulled in for some gratification. As I exited my truck I looked towards the moon and saw the same color object, but smaller in size with no movement or noise. Usually if a bomber with a lit afterburner was near we would hear the rumble. I told my wife, but she missed that sighting. We walked in grabbed a few pizzas and sat down at a booth facing towards the direction of the moon so we could try to see anymore lights. It was almost humorous to be eating pizza and the both of us focused on the outside. Eventually we look out the window and pointed at the mysterious light and about the same time an airplane flies near it, which then made me realize what we saw was not at all an airplane. The light in no way resembled an airplane. The light remained on and eventually disappeared. Minutes later the same colored light comes on in which we both pointed to it in excitement and then two more lights appeared spaced apart. As before they remained on for several seconds and disappeared. My wife and I thought what the hell. The waitress comes by to fill our cups when I asked her if there have been people in the local area reporting lights or seeing strange objects. The young girl said there have been reports online and in the Coleman paper about people spotting mysterious lights. Even A&E did a report about UFO sightings in Stephenville, TX. We explained to her what we saw when she became excited and said, "Really?!" She started to look out the window and became excited as we were. I told her now that the out of towners told a third person the mysterious lights will not light up the sky to only show us as being crazy. I will tell you this, I have never seen anything like that before and my wife and I will say, what we saw that night was not an airplane, but most definitely an unidentified flying object. I truly believe we were visited by the outside. Take care and hopefully this helps.

HP - Tuscaloosa, AL -- The Religious Right, together with representatives of the Christian Coalition and the American Family Association, is organizing a multi-state march on one tiny village in Pennsylvania, demanding that it immediately change its name. The name? "Intercourse." One dictionary definition defines "intercourse" as "Dealings or communications between persons or groups." It's that other definition, however, that's got the conservative groups' goat. The Christian Coalition's Lydia Hopwinkle explains, "Here it is, right here in Webster's - 'Intercourse - physical sexual contact between individuals that involves the genitalia of at least one person.' Now, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to live in a place named after a sexual act, and I wouldn't want my children, or anyone else's children, living there, either!"

Complicating the matter is the fact that Intercourse happens to be an Amish village, and the generally conservative, pious Amish apparently don't seem to be bothered by the name. "What could they possibly have been thinking?" asks Andrew Gutierrez, of the American Family Association. "The place was founded in 1754. It's not like they haven't had time to change the name. There are lots of safe, respectful Christian names. How 'bout 'Springfield'?"

While the Religious Right has not yet mentioned any plans to go after every city or town with a suggestive-sounding name, perhaps the following Pennsylvania towns might want to be on alert for possible future protest marches: Blue Ball, Bird-in-Hand, Virginville, Puseyville, Fertility, Bareville, and Mount Joy.

Man-Eating Elephant In India

HP - After a rogue elephant killed 17 people in India, locals knew it had to be stopped. Once the animal was killed, DNA tests on the contents of its stomach revealed something even more terrifying: the elephant had consumed human flesh.

According to zoologist Dave Salmoni, humans are to blame for the herbivore's shocking behavior. In this clip from his new TV show, he claims this particular man-eating elephant lashed out in an act of revenge after her calf was killed.

Elephants have recently witnessed their homes destroyed to make room for crop fields. Raids have forced elephant herds to split up, and the animals can grow exhausted and increasingly stressed and in turn, aggressive.

Elephants aren't the only ones reacting aggressively to human imposition. ABC News reports that in one part of India, tigers killed 14 people from just one village last year. The Bengal species is being threatened by rising sea levels and hunters encroaching on their territory.

But when it comes to the elephants, Salmoni is clear on who's to blame, stating that the animals "are man-made monsters. It's us, not the elephants, who will decide what happens next."

Scientists find Extraterrestrial genes in Human DNA

A group of researchers working at the Human Genome Project indicate that they made an astonishing scientific discovery: They believe so-called 97% non-coding sequences in human DNA is no less than genetic code of extraterrestrial life forms.

The non-coding sequences are common to all living organisms on Earth, from moulds to fish to humans. In human DNA, they constitute larger part of the total genome, says Prof. Sam Chang, the group leader. Non-coding sequences, originally known as "junk DNA", were discovered years ago, and their function remained a mystery. The overwhelming majority of Human DNA is "Off-world" in origin. The apparent "extraterrestrial junk genes" merely "enjoy the ride" with hard working active genes, passed from generation to generation.

After comprehensive analysis with the assistance of other scientists, computer programmers, mathematicians, and other learned scholars, Professor Chang had wondered if the apparently "junk Human DNA" was created by some kind of "extraterrestrial programmer". ORBs, Extreme Possibility One And Two - Making The Case

As `Clockers' know, UDCC has been ALL over this emerging and seemingly intensifying ORB phenomena. (Or, is it really increasing? Does Marilyn Monroe Haunt Westwood?

centurycity.patch.com - Witnesses at Westwood Village Memorial Park claim that a super-natural pink fog sometimes forms in front of the pink-stained marble marker of screen star, Marilyn Monroe.

Tucked away in a small cemetery, which in itself, is fittingly tucked away behind a (possibly haunted) movie theater, one can find the final resting place of the legendary blonde bombshell. Since Marilyn's spirit is one of the most ubiquitous ghosts in Hollywood (along side the ghost of silent screen star Rudolf Valentino) and has being seen at just about any location she had a connection with in this city, it makes perfect sense that her crypt would also be counted as one of the many places said to be haunted by the spirit of this larger than life sex symbol.

Then again, since her famous form, which inspired both the shape of Coca-Cola's trademarked bottle and the Disney character, Tinkerbell, has never actually materialized, just this strange pink ectoplasm, maybe it isn't her at all. Perhaps these formless blobs are the restless spirits of others there, who like Marilyn died under mysterious circumstances. Some of the tragic figures interned at this address include Bob Crane, Dorothy Stratten, Karen Carpenter, Natalie Wood, Dominique Dunne and Heather O'Rourke (both of them victims of the supposed "Poltergeist Curse"), and Victor Killian (who is said to haunt the Chinese Theater in Hollywood). Janis Joplin was cremated here. Don Knotts, although not a tragic figure like the others, is buried here and is best remembered by ghost-hunters for starring in arguably the best "haunted house" movie ever made,"The Ghost and Mr. Chicken." Additionally, almost a thousand other celebrities are there in this very tiny graveyard.

Legend has it that when baseball superstar, "Jolt'n" Joe DiMaggio, chose this location for Marilyn (his ex-wife), he picked it because of its remote and hidden location. He wanted a place, where her fans wouldn't bother her, not realizing that the presence of her remains would forever attract other celebrities and tourists. So much so, that Marilyn's marker has been permanently stained pink from all the fans (wearing red lip-stick), who have kissed it. So, if you don't have a special someone to kiss this Valentine's Day,... you can always kiss Marilyn,... and maybe if you're lucky,... she will appear to you, too.

Hannah Montana Dad Blames Satanism in Family Break-Up

If he only knew the extent of it and what would happen to his daughter. But too late.

The Hannah Montana sensation has a back story we've heard before. Father Billy Ray Cyrus, country singer, sacrificed his daughter to the Disney machine and it's chewing up their lives. Nothing new about that.

Only he's saying something.

GQ's recent interview with Cyrus has this intro:

"These days Billy Ray Cyrus's life is imitating a bad country song: He's headed for a messy divorce, his record company just delayed his latest comeback, and his cherished 18-year-old daughter seems destined to rip bong hits at every party in the U.S.A. No wonder he's muttering about the end times."

RENDERED POWERLESS

Billy Ray apparently understands what's happened and tells of his inability to get past Miley's "handlers." He "spoke to one of the handlers" asking what's going on. He was referring to a You Tube showing Miley using the the drug Salvia.

"They told me," he says, his contempt and despair still naked and fresh, "it was none of my business."

He goes on later, anguishing over her apparent sequestration: "I feel like I got to try. It's my daughter. And some of these handlers are perhaps more interested in handling Miley's money than her safety and her career."

"I'm scared for her. She's got a lot of people around her that's putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she's 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I'd like to try to help. Take care of her just a little bit, to at least get her out of danger."

When asked if he thinks his family is under attack by Satan, Billy Ray says, "no doubt. There's no doubt about it."

"I'll tell you right now -- that damn show ['Hannah Montana'] destroyed my family. I hate to say it, but yes, I [wish the show never happened]. For my family to be here and just everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic. I'd erase it all in a second if I could."

In fact, it is this late-in-the game, hands-off attitude that Billy Ray regrets the most. He claims he didn't profit from his daughter's success, except for his role as an actor.

"I should have been a better parent. I should have said, 'enough is enough.' But I didn't."

How sad, but he knew better, and admits it. The price of doing business in that industry is your soul....and your mind.

MIND CONTROL VICTIMS EVERYONE

The interview then takes an eerie detour as Billy Ray tells his own tale of needing to get away from it all, prompted by the death of Kurt Cobain, with whom he was friends. He also mentions trying to help Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith, two definite MK Ultra subjects.

The TV series Hannah Montana stars Cyrus as a girl who lives a secret double life - an average schoolgirl by day, and the titular, pretty-in-pink (and occult purple) pop star by night.

The splitting of Miley is demonstrated by her alter's name - Hannah is the same backwards as forwards, reminiscent of the constant mirroring we see in pop videos - and by their different hair colors (further dark/light checkerboard symbolism).

The fact that Miley/Hannah has often been seen sporting butterfly symbols on her clothes, accessories and website pretty much clinches it for one blogger:

"She is literally (in terms of her MK programming) some form of corporate global Lolita robot" being used to socially engineer teenage girls for their role as Illuminati sex slaves and ... breeding stock.

The Cyrus interview is somewhat disjointed, and you get the sense he may be playing out his scripted role and personality for the interviewer. It's not dishonest sounding, but there's this haunting sense that something is being staged. Is he also a subject?

When that good ol' boy country stuff meets Hollywood, you don't have to guess who's gonna come out on top.

The Mysterious "Spiritual Fires"

mysinchew - KOTA BHARU, Kelantan: A weird "spiritual fire" broke out in a residential house at Jalan Pantai Cahaya Bulan, Kampung Barembang, Kota Bharu recently.

More than ten ulamas failed to put out the "fire" by way of reciting the Koran verses, and incidents of spontaneous fires burning the clothes continue to take place for more than twenty times thereafter.

The female owner of the house, Zainab Sulaiman, 73, said even though the incidence of "spiritual fires" had somewhat slowed down after the ulamas offered the prayers, they still came for about four times.

The mysterious phenomenon appeared again during day time for more than twenty times, five of which occurring when Sin Chew Daily conducted the interview there.

Zainab Sulaiman complained that her family had run out of idea how to subdue the "fires" other than throwing away the burnt clothes.

"We are going to have no more clothes to wear. What should we do now?" she asked.

Unable to go to school

The "spiritual fires" have burned the clothes, spoiled the food, turned on the gas cooker and burned the new school uniforms and veils of Zainab's two granddaughters, 11-year-old Nur Fartili and 13-year-old Wan Nurfatifa, making them unable to go to school.

The incidents have lasted for 13 days now and many "supreme masters" have been consulted but to no avail.

Zainab could hardly understand why such strange phenomenon could take place in her house, which was built on the land belonging to the Islamic Affairs Bureau, as she had been living peacefully there for more than three decades.

She is worried the "spiritual fires" would trigger real fires that would cause damages to her house and her neighbours'. As a result, she has been staying home for 13 days because she is afraid the disastrous event could happen the moment she steps out of her house.
