Posted: 08 Jul 2010 07:39 PM PDT  THIS IS A SUMMARY OF UPDATES AND EVENTS RELATED TO THIS CASE:Craig Woolheater of Cryptomundo is reporting the following: Overnight AM - Overnight AM producers have been contacted by a man claiming to have found Bigfoot living in his backyard somewhere in North America (Location: Confidential). The evidence is substantial based on eyewitness testimony of a man whose life has been turned upside down by the creatures, a family of four; two adults and two infants, who bed down in his backyard every evening. UFO Magazine & Clearly Skewed Entertainment has dispatched a film crew to the area to document the events as they unfold on camera. Tonight, Mike (last name withheld), a 70 year old veteran with no interest in the field of Bigfoot research, will join Lan Lamphere and the Overnight AM radio show audience to describe the events of the past few weeks and his encounters with this family of Bigfoot who have taken to living in the forest behind his home appearing every night to bed down in his backyard to escape biting mosquitos. I have contacted William Birnes, publisher of UFO Magazine and a facebook fan of Cryptomundo by the way, to see if he can share any additional details regarding this case. I have only had a chance to listen to the first twenty minutes or so of the program, so I have not listened to "Mike" or any of the investigators who were guests of the show. What do the readers of Cryptomundo think after listening to the program? Lan Lamphere said on the show that he had contacted the BFRO and that Darcy Stoffregen of Maple Ridge, British Columbia was investigating. NOTE: since the time this was posted, a few discrepancies have/are developing. Nancy Birnes of UFO Magazine states..."I don't know who wrote that at the Overnight AM site, but no film crew has been dispatched. Possibly someone will go there and check it out, but at this point nobody has." So, we'll see what happens. Frankly, I noticed the original announcement a few days ago but waited to see what was going to develop. I'll attempt to keep this updated. If anyone has further information on this, please feel free to comment or contact me...Lon UPDATE: 1:30 pm ET - I just listened to the interview...I think there may be something to this. One of the local law enforcement officers had made a report of seeing a 'naked woman covered in hair' eating from dumpster sometime before this sighting was reported to Bill Birnes at 'the History Channel'. My theory that most Sasquatch type creatures are non-terrestrial (alien visitors) may be bolstered by this encounter...namely because this group of creatures seem to be in a small forested area in a urban setting. The group has been dumpster diving behind a nearby restaurant according the witness. I feel that these creatures come from an alternative universe or plane. Like spirits, I think that these entities and others can move across the great divide between our worlds. Yeah, I know it sounds fantastic but I have come to this theory based on my experiences and the thousands of eyewitness encounters by others. BTW, this story is burning through the internet today...Lon UPDATE: 4:15 pm ET - OK...a reader, Bill Green, talked to the Overnight AM producer by telephone and found out that Lan Lamphere will be presenting further evidence tonight (July 8th - 10pm ET / 9pm CT). I don't know if they're intentionally stringing this out but I'll keep an open mind nonetheless. If you want to listen to the show, go to Overnight AM for the live stream. You will need to setup a free account for access. The location has not be disclosed...but there is some speculation. Like I mentioned earlier, BFRO has been contacted and they are sending a crew there. I really hope they warned the witness to avoid 'our friend Tom' from the 'Georgia Bigfoot Hoax' and other fiascos...Lon UPDATE: 8:50 pm ET - Well, cryptozoologist Darcy Stoffregen who was interviewed by Lan Lamphere in reference to this sighting has posted the following statement on his Facebook profile "Not involved any more. He never called yesterday like he said he would and I just found out why". Stoffregen was suppose to hook up with the witness 'Mr. Mike'...Lon UPDATE: 10:10 pm ET - Lan Lamphere of Overnight AM is reporting on his live show that there were actually 2 reports of a 'hairy woman' before the original report. Starting the show, Lamphere stated that the Sasquatch report is 'absolutely true'. Seems that the Sasquatch have migrated towards the front of the house and Mr. Mike states he is communicating with them. Also, more Sasquatch have arrived and there are at least 2 infants! A private investigator has been hired to do a background check out Mr. Mike and he checks out OK. The PI was at the location and confirms that the Sasquatch are REAL and there are PHOTOS! | Zimbabwe Clinic Nurses Flee 'Goblin' Attacks Posted: 08 Jul 2010 10:36 AM PDT  radiovop - Makande rural clinic situated 60 kilometres south-west of Karoi town was forced to close for two weeks after nurses fled following attacks by ''goblins'' prompting traditional leaders to hire people to exorcise the area (tsikamutandas).Makande-a malaria prone area is under Chief Musampakaruma of Nyaminyami's Kariba rural. Villagers said the goblins attacks came at a time when nurses were busy with a malaria programme aimed at reducing malaria related deaths, which are prevalent in the area. Villager Edmore Mukapa of Kadziro area said, ''we were not expecting goblins to attack nurses who are trying hard to reduce malaria outbreak here. It's unfortunate for us'' A teacher at Makande primary school said school children were also causalities of attacks daily. ''Attacking nurses with goblins leave us vulnerable. Goblins owners do not accept payments to their demands. You can not force them to accept the payments because of the Witch-craft Suppression Act. It's a complicated issue'' said a teacher who refused to be named for fear of victimisation. Currently the Witchcraft Suppression Act makes it criminal to label anyone a witch or wizard. Chief Musampakaruma hired tsikamutandas late last month to expose suspects possessing goblins after nurses were attacked. Villagers hailed the move to hire tsikamutandas to ''clean up witchcraft'' although Chief Musampakaruma was not available for comment. Nyaminyami council chief executive officer Isaac Mackenzie confirmed that traditional leaders hired tsikamutanda following complaints by victims of the attacks. Although tsikamutandas are accused of sowing divisions among families and villagers, in Makande rural their presence is a reprieve. ''The attacks on nurses was unwarranted. Nurses are the last line of duty to combat malaria which is common here. Traditional leaders believe hiring of tsikamutandas will clean the area.'' said Mackenzie. It could not be independently verified from Hurungwe hospital that covers Makande of recorded malaria related deaths as the officials were out of office. Mashonaland West has had an outbreak of malaria since May. *********** from April 2010 Zimbabwe Schoolboy Experiences Bouts With 'Goblin' A thirteen-year-old Visitation Makumbe High schoolboy cut short his studies in February after he was afflicted by a strange condition that causes him to physically fight an invisible "monster". Confirming the boy's condition, Visitation Makumbe High School resident priest Father Barnabas Mukumba last week said the boy initially complained of stomach pains that were followed by bouts of unconsciousness. The Form One student was described as intelligent and scored four units in last year's Grade Seven national examinations. The school authorities believe that the invisible "monster" could be a "goblin". Although the school authorities could not confirm it, the boy's parents say their child experienced a "transfiguration" on February 10, the night before a major fight with the invisible opponent caused his body to glow. "The boy would complain of stomach pains that would end in him being unconsciousness. At times he would be taunted by the invisible monster which would force him to scream and use his hands to fight it. "One could actually see the boy simulating a fight with something or someone we could not see. "On the first occasion, the boy claimed to have seen a short-bearded man wearing a black cloak. During his initial contact with the invisible creature, he would scream and try to ward off the invisible attacker and we later taught him to pray as a way to fight it off," said Fr Mukumba. He said the school authorities initially tried to assist him through psychological counselling until they eventually handed over the matter to the priests for spiritual guidance. "Together with other priests we took him through spiritual counselling and discernment. I initially suspected the boy was playing tricks so that he could go home and be with his family. "After further probing we realised the problems were greater than what we had anticipated. We later invited the parents and they then asked us to assist him through prayer and use of holy water," said Fr Mukumba. The boy would experience relief after prayers and on realising this, the school authorities arranged for him to stay with the priests. "On one occasion he screamed during lesson time and said a short old man was trying to forcefully take his pen away. He struggled with his invisible tormentor for some time until he became unconscious. "He is an intelligent young boy who achieved four units at Grade Seven," said the deputy school head. The boy's father (name withheld to protect the minor's identity) told The Sunday Mail from his Chitungwiza home that he believed his son had spiritual powers that enabled him to fight goblins. "The boy is gifted spiritually and that enables him to fight evil spirits. There were numerous reports from his school and we asked the priests to assist him. "They have been praying for him until February when we decided to withdraw him from school because he was attracting unnecessary attention from the other pupils," said the boy's father. | 'Doomsday Ark' to be Stored on the Moon - Toolkit for Rebuilding the Human Race Posted: 08 Jul 2010 10:13 AM PDT  "Eventually, it will be necessary to have a kind of Noah's ark there, a diversity of species from the biosphere." Bernard Foing, Chief Scientist/Research, European Space Agency dailygalaxy - If the human species should be destroyed on Earth, our future may reside on the Moon if plans.being drawn up for a "Doomsday ark" on the moon by the European Space Agency are carried through. The Ark will contain the essentials of life and human civilization, to be activated in the event of earth being devastated by a giant asteroid or nuclear war. The construction of a lunar information bank, discussed at a conference in Strasbourg last month, would provide survivors on Earth with a remote-access toolkit to rebuild the human race. A basic version of the ark would contain hard discs holding information such as DNA sequences and instructions for metal smelting or planting crops. It would be buried in a vault just under the lunar surface and transmitters would send the data to heavily protected receivers on earth. if no receivers survived, the ark would continue transmitting the information until new ones could be built. The vault could later be extended to include natural material including microbes, animal embryos and plant seeds and even cultural relics such as surplus items from museum stores. As a first step to discovering whether living organisms could survive, European Space Agency scientists are hoping to experiment with growing tulips on the moon within the next decade. The first flowers – tulips or arabidopsis, a plant widely used in research – could be grown in 2012 or 2015 according to Bernard Foing, chief scientist at the agency's research department. Tulips are ideal because they can be frozen, transported long distances and grown with little nourishment. Combined with algae, an enclosed artificial atmosphere and chemically enhanced lunar soil, they could form the basis of an ecosystem. The first experiments would be carried out in transparent biospheres containing a mix of gases to mimic the earth's atmosphere. Carbon dioxide given off by the decomposing plants would be mopped up by the algae, which would generate oxygen through photosynthesis. The databank would initially be run by robots and linked to earth by radio transmissions. Scientists hope to put a manned station on the moon before the end of the century. The databank would need to be buried under rock to protect it from the extreme temperatures, radiation and vacuum on the moon. It would be run partly on solar power. The scientists envisage placing the first experimental databank on the moon no later than 2020 and it could have a lifespan of 30 years. The full archive would be launched by 2035. The information would be held in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish and would be linked by transmitter to 4,000 "Earth repositories" that would provide shelter, food, a water supply for survivors. | Fortean / Oddball News - 7/8/2010 Posted: 08 Jul 2010 10:01 AM PDT Man Crashes Into Strip Club...Blames it on Martians  channel3000 - A 50-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing his car into a strip club on East Washington Avenue in Madison, WI on Tuesday night.Police said Keith Rasmussen, 50, of Racine, was asked to leave Vision's Night Club after he vomited in the VIP area. Rasmussen got in his SUV in the parking lot, put it in reverse and slammed it into the front of the building, authorities said. A witness told police he and a woman had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. After hitting the building, Rasmussen's vehicle jumped the curb and drove down East Washington at a high rate of speed, according to police. A concerned citizen called 911 after seeing Rasmussen's SUV pull into a parking lot at a high speed. When police made contact with Rasmussen in the parking lot, they asked him how he was doing. Rasmussen said, "Not good," but he had "seen some nice strippers." Police said Rasmussen then denied driving the SUV, telling police Martians helped get him to his current location. Rasmussen was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, reckless driving, hit and run, and entering or leaving a controlled access unlawfully. ********** Viper - Super Hero, Crime Stopper  He may not have any super powers but a college student donning a tight costume and patrolling the streets of Columbia, Tennessee is causing quite a stir.The man-- who calls himself Viper-- says he's out to stop crime, by reporting to police when he sees it happening. But last week, the Viper found himself at the center of authorities' attention... because he was breaking a city ordinance banning people from wearing masks in public. Authorities say he was carrying a utility belt that was holding a screwdriver and wrenches. They say they also found ninja stars in his car. Now, the Viper's becoming a household name around town. Police let the college student turned superhero go... but they did urge the green clad man to leave crime fighting to the men and women in blue. ********** Tiger Trainer Saved by Inflatable Dolphin      dailymail - A wildlife park worker had a lucky escape after slipping during a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a giant Bengal white tiger. A crowd of onlookers held their breath as the park worker narrowly escaped a mauling after falling over while running from the fearsome beast. The dramatic scene was captured during a daily 'tiger splash' event at the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, in Arizona, U.S. Park worker Jeff Harwell participates as the prey during a daily routine with the cats, where they chase an inflatable toy being held by him. The tigers are usually so excited about capturing and popping the toy they do not harm the park workers. The workers then jump into a pool with the tiger at the end of the game. But this time Mr Harwell slipped over on the wet grass - and found himself between the two-year-old white tiger called Chalet and his inflatable toy. Thinking quickly, Mr Harwell managed to throw the toy into the pool, distracting the young tiger. Chalet leapt in to the pool after the toy, as Mr Harwell scrambled to his feet. Gasps of horror were heard from the audience. But Mr Harwell - who was unharmed in the incident - continued to play with the tigers. The tigers who are not being trained to perform tricks at the park but are playing these games to tap into their natural instincts. Wildlife photographer Kathleen Reeder, who took the pictures said: 'It's an unbelievable event to watch and even more unbelievable when situations like this occur. 'The reaction of the crowd was nothing less than jaw dropping. 'We could tell Jeff's fall was unexpected and that he could easily be injured if he didn't react instantaneously. 'The other park workers were ready to jump in to help and watched intently while he reacted swiftly. 'Without missing a step, Jeff successfully diverted the tiger's attention, and the show went on as though this is all part of the event. 'The tigers are treated with a lot of loving care, so the workers are more like friends and the tigers have no reason to intentionally hurt them. 'However, they have to be very careful when doing this event to avoid accidents resulting from the cats just being cats.' ********** Dissolving the Dead telegraph - The controversial new method is said to be less expensive and more environmentally friendly than running highly polluting crematoria or using up valuable land for graves. The departed would go into the sewage systems of towns and cities and then be recycled in water processing plants. The proposals are being studied by the EU and if approved, it would mean the procedure could be used across Europe. However, opponents of the plans say it smacks of a Frankenstein callousness towards the dead and one survey in Belgium found many people found the idea "disturbing." "The idea is for the deceased to be placed in a container with water and salts and then pressurized and after a little time, about two hours, mineral ash and liquid is left over," said a spokesman for the Flemish Association of Undertakers. The European Commission is investigation whether the resulting liquid could safely be flushed into the sewage system. Authorities in the northern Belgian region have yet to decide whether to approve the process. Six states in America – Maine, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Oregon, and Maryland have recently passed legislation that allow the process to be used. Although experts insist that the ashes can be recycled in waste systems, the residue from the process can also be put in urns and handed over to relatives of the dead.
