UFOs / Foo Fighters of World War II

Posted: 23 Jan 2011 01:08 PM PST

The term foo fighter was used by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II to describe various UFOs or mysterious aerial phenomena seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific Theater of Operations.

Though "foo fighter" initially described a type of UFO reported, (named by the U.S. 415th Night Fighter Squadron) the term was also commonly used to mean any UFO sighting from that period.

Formally reported from November 1944 onwards, incidents were reported throughout WWII. Witnesses often assumed that the foo fighters were secret weapons employed by the enemy, but they remained unidentified post-war and were reported by both Allied and Axis forces.

The foo fighter experiences of Allied pilots were taken very seriously. Most of the information about the issue has never been released by military intelligence.

The following reports are a small example of literally hundreds of UFO incidents witnessed during the war years:

May 1944 - Clovis Army Airfield, New Mexico: It was about 10 AM in the morning until about 11:30 AM. Three of us, all B-29 engineering officers in the Air Corps observed the object. The day was warm and totally clear. The object was at 11 o'clock high. It never wavered, just sat there. Remember, in 1944 UFO was a term unknown to us. It was not used until later. We theorized that it might be a Jap balloon. But it never moved. It was shining brightly, but the sun surely was farther away. How could that be? Later I became aware that some people seemed to see them glow. That bothered me for over 50 years! I took the pains to liken it to one of several, new-from-the-factory, bright B-29 bombers that had just come to the field. We had 60 planes more or less. It appeared to be about the size of a dime on a 14 ft high ceiling. Remember, we were young trained observers, in perfect physical condition. We were qualified to fly.

Over the years I have watched UFO stories on TV and elsewhere never having an answer, always just more questions. I don.t know any more now than I did on that bright morning in 1944. I spent over forty years as a Professional Engineer - performing structural design for all types of structures. I am a highly experienced engineer and look hard, and long at something before expressing an opinion. Where do we go from here? I'm used to scoping something out and, at least, coming up with an opinion.

What is your scope of work? Somewhere we have to form an opinion and get over with the exercise. I am 85 and 1/2 years young, with all the smarts I ever had, I believe. WE CAN NOT KEEP GOING ON AND ON! As you can see, i don't have that luxury.

One thing I can say to you is that we, for the first time in our history, in 1943-'46 had about 6 B-29 fields in a 400 mile radius with 60 VERY active aircraft on each one. Just think about it; this was at Clovis Army Airfield only about 200 miles from ROSWELL. How does that grab you? We went to the Officers Club for lunch and it was GONE when we returned to the flight line.

----------

March 1943 - Bering Sea, Near Alaska: I was aboard the USS Williamson (Destroyer) in early 1943 during WWII. The weather was clear with calm seas. The night was very black. At the time of the sighting, we were patrolling the Bering Sea north of the Alaskan Peninsula, bearing north at about 20 knots.

I was on watch at the starboard 20mm gun, second deck (galley deck). It was around 2300. My gun turret was above the deck house and there were no obstructions hindering my field of vision, allowing me to have a clear 360 degree view of the sea around the ship. There were four of us together at the starboard gun (I can get crew names and captain's name).

The attention of both port and starboard gun crews was drawn to a row of red lights off the port side, traveling parallel to and slightly forward of the bow. I did not see the lights when they first approached so do not know the direction from which they came, or if they came out of the sea. There were at least eight lights in a row, evenly spaced, canted at about 15 degrees to horizontal. I would estimate the lights were no more than 100 yards from the ship. The lights held their relative position to one another throughout the sighting, and appeared to be about 10 feet apart. I would say that the light closest to the water (the lights were canted diagonal to horizontal at approximately 15 degrees) appeared to be about 30 feet above the water.

I estimate that it would require a cantaloupe held at arms length to cover a single light. I could not see a structure associated with the lights as there was nothing but blackness between the lights. The lights were a very deep red and did not cast a beam. The lights moved parallel to our ship, holding their position relative to the ship throughout the entire sighting.

The lights continued to pace the ship as I watched. This continued for at least one hour. I was relieved from watch at 2400. When I went below the lights were still visible. I was too tired to stay on deck and went below to sleep. The next day, the midnight gun crew said that the captain turned the ship and "tried" to chase the lights. I don't know the outcome of this maneuver. I don't know what the circumstances were when the lights disappeared. But I do know that I have not seen anything like this before or since.

The Guadalcanal AIR WAR
Col. Jefferson DeBlanc's Story

Jefferson J. DeBlanc - Pelican Publishing Company 2008

DeBlanc was a US Marine Corps fighter "Ace" and a Medal of Honor recipient for valor in air combat over Guadalcanal. DeBlanc passed away in 2007.

August 1945 - DeBlanc narrates an interesting incident of being guided by ground radar to a radar contact, a "blip," as he flew morning patrol. According to what he'd written earlier on page 153 this incident would have occurred in the vicinity of Okinawa where he was then stationed: "Finally we were ordered off Ie Shima island to Okinawa, first to Kadena Airfield then to Chimu. We remained here until the war ended."

Chapter 26
The Atomic Bomb

"During the first sixteen days of August, there was a nightmare of vectors to "blips" on the radar screen which didn't make sense in 1945. I was on morning flight with my division and was to report as usual on station for the two-hour picket patrol over a destroyer at the seven o'clock location. I suddenly received a frantic call from Control to buster (aviation terminology for "full speed") to a target at 25,000 feet. We were just climbing through 5,000 feet and I had to drop the full belly tank in order to climb rapidly to intercept the enemy. The vector was perfect and I arrived at 25,000 feet in seconds, but there was no enemy. The radar operators said my target was just a mile ahead. I charged the guns and rockets, looked ahead, but saw nothing. Just then the radar operators said the target was pulling away at high speed and asked me to advance speed to intercept. The blip was off the radar screen in seconds. Nothing we had in those days could travel the full length of a radar screen at that velocity. I laughed and told the operator to stop watching flies on his screen. I even suggested that he check for a leaky capacitor in the horizontal circuit of his scope. This was my first and last encounter with UFOs. After August 16, we were not plagued with any more sightings of this nature. All vectors were normal and within the range and velocity of World War II aircraft."

Page 163-4

----------

February 26, 1942 - William J. Methorst underwent weird experience while aboard a ship in the Timor Sea near New Guinea. In 1957 Methorst, then a resident of Melbourne, Australia, told Peter Norris of the Victorian Flying Saucer Research Society: "While on watch for enemy aircraft just after noon, I was scanning the skies with binoculars when suddenly I saw a large illuminated disc approaching at terrific speed 4,000 or 5,000 feet above us. This object proceeded to circle high above our ship, the cruiser, Tromp, of the Royal Netherlands Navy.

"After reporting it to the officers on the bridge, they were unable to identify it as any known aircraft. After keeping track of this object for about three to four hours, as it flew in big circles and at the same height, the craft suddenly veered off in a tremendous burst of speed (at about 3,000 to 3,500 miles an hour) and disappeared from sight."

----------

Stephen J. Brickner, a sergeant with the 1st Marine Division, had an even more fantastic encounter with mysterious aerial objects.

"The sightings occurred on Aug. 12, 1942, about 10 in the morning while I was in bivouac with my squad on the island of Tulagi in the southern Solomons, west of Guadalcanal," he recalled. It was a bright tropical morning with high banks of white, fleecy clouds. I was cleaning my rifle on the edge of my foxhole, when suddenly the air raid warning was sounded. There had been no 'Condition Red.' I immediately slid into my foxhole, with my back to the ground and my face turned up to the sky. I heard the formation before I saw it. Even then, I was puzzled by the
sound. It was a mighty roar that seemed to echo in the heavens. It didn't sound at all like the 'sewing-machine' drone of the Jap formations. A few seconds later, I saw the formation of silvery objects directly overhead.

"At the time I was in a highly emotional state; it was my fifth day in combat with the Marines. It was quite easy to mistake anything in the air for Jap planes, which is what I thought these objects were. They were flying very high above the clouds, too high for a bombing run on our little island. Someone shouted in a nearby foxhole that they were Jap planes searching for our fleet. I accepted this explanation, but with a few reservations. First, the formation was huge, I would say over 150 objects were in it. Instead of the usual tight 'V' of 25 planes, this formation was in straight lines of 10 or 12 objects, one behind the other. The speed was a little faster than Jap planes, and they were soon out of sight. A few other things puzzled me: I couldn't seem to make out any wings or tails. They seemed to wobble slightly, and every time they wobbled they would shimmer brightly from the sun. Their color was like highly polished silver. No bombs were dropped, of course. All in all, it was the most awe-inspiring and yet frightening spectacle I have seen in my life."

----------

Royal Air Force pilot B.C. Lumsden observed two classic foos fighters while flying a Hurricane interceptor over France in December 1942.

Lumsden had taken off from England at seven p.m., heading for the French coast, using the Somme River as a navigation point. An hour later, while cruising at 7,000 feet over the mouth of the Somme, he discovered that he had company: two steadily climbing orange-colored lights, with one slightly above the other. He thought it might be tracer flak but discarded the idea when he saw how slowly the objects were moving. He did a full turn and saw the lights astern and to port but now they were larger and brighter.

At 7,000 feet they stopped climbing and stayed level with Lumsden's Hurricane. The frightened pilot executed a full turn again, only to discover that the objects had hung behind him on the turn.

Lumsden had no idea what he was seeing. All he knew was that he didn't like it. He nose-dived down to 4,000 feet and the lights followed his every maneuver, keeping their same relative position. Finally they descended about 1,000 feet below him until he leveled out, at which point they climbed again and resumed pursuit. The two lights seemed to maintain an even distance from each other and varied only slightly in relative height from time to time. One always remained a bit lower than the other.

At last, as Lumsden's speed reached 260 miles per hour, he was gradually able to outdistance the foos.

"I found it hard to make other members of the squadron believe me when I told my story," Lumsden said, "but the following night one of the squadron flight commanders in the same area had a similar experience with a green light."

-----------

In 1950, Edward W. Ludwig of Stockton, Calif., recalled this very strange story:

"It happened in the last week of June 1944. The small Coast Guard-manned cargo vessel, of which I was executive officer, was approaching the tiny island of Plamyra, about 800 miles southeast of Hawaii... Suddenly the atmosphere of calm was shattered by a crackling radio message telling us that a Navy patrol plane had been lost at sea. Plamyra naval authorities appealed for our assistance in the search.

"So we cruised back and forth, shouting into the black still night, playing our searchlight beams over the dark waters. We found nothing. Not even a scrap of floating debris or spot of oil to indicate where the plane had crashed. Twenty-four hours later we anchored in the lagoon-harbor of Palmyra, weary, our minds numbed by the tragedy.

"That midnight I was on watch on our ship's bridge. Suddenly I glimpsed what first appeared to be a brilliant star, high in the dark sky over the island. As I watched, the light began to swell like a balloon and to come closer. I grabbed my binoculars, hoping for an instant that the lost plane might be returning.

"But I soon saw that the object in the sky was neither plane nor star. It was definitely round, a sphere hovering above me, motionless and silent, and at least five times as bright as the most brilliant star. The sphere began to move with almost imperceptible slowness. Then it stopped... For half an hour the light continued its slow, purposeful maneuvers until it covered an area of approximately 90 degrees. At last it headed northward, away from the island and in the direction where the plane had been lost.

"The following morning I made inquiries, my mind toying with the thought that the two incidents--the sphere and the lost plane--might be related. The Naval lieutenant in charge told me that absolutely no aircraft had been aloft that night and that no Japanese could possible be within 1,000 miles.

"He was extremely puzzled by the problem of the missing plane. Its radio direction finder, he believed, had somehow malfunctioned, resulting in a reversal of directions. But this theory, of course, would not explain why two experienced pilots, familiar with the area, would fly directly into the setting sun, away from the island, instead of in the opposite and correct direction. I will never forget the lieutenant's final words. 'Perhaps,' he suggested, 'the inhabitants of the strange sphere wanted specimens'."

Admittedly in this instance any connection between the plane disappearance and the UFO is purely speculative, but Ludwig's account is interesting in view of the growing number of aircraft disappearances in which UFOs seem to be connected.

Fortean / Alternative News: China's White Dolphins, Pope's Blood and How to Meditate

Posted: 23 Jan 2011 11:03 AM PST

Xiamen's White Dolphins

whatsonxiamen - Tourists throng to Xiamen, a world-famous resort in southeast China, for its seaside, sunshine and scenic cultural heritage sites. Now, Chinese white dolphins, as part of the city's oceanic landscape, may become the new sought-after attraction for tourists.

Xiamen is the only city in the world which allows people to see inshore dolphins on its beaches, whereas in other countries, such as Japan and Peru, people have to get to dolphins in the open sea after hours of ship-riding.

"In December, more than 30 dolphins appeared in one group in the Wuyuan Bay of Xiamen," Chen Bingyu, from the Xiamen Precious and Rare Marine Species Reserve Management Office, told Xinhua. "It's the first time in more than 20 years."

"In recent years, more and more dolphins have begun to appear in nearby sea areas," said Zhou Lumin, deputy chief of Xiamen Municipal Oceanic and Fishery Administration. "It's time for Xiamen to develop its dolphin-watching business."

The Chinese white dolphin, boasting the nickname of "giant panda in the sea" and living mainly in the sea areas around Xiamen and the Pearl River estuary in southern China, is a mammal guarded under the first-class state protection.

In the 1960s and early 1970s, it was not unusual for Xiamen citizens to enjoy watching groups of dolphins frolic in the sea.

"Unfortunately, the undue exploitation, pollution and consequent deterioration of the ecosystem around the area drove dolphins far away," said Chen.

As one of China's first four special economic zones, Xiamen has seen an unprecedented economic boom since 1980.

Twenty or thirty years ago, scenes of dolphins frolicking in groups faded out of sight and even out of mind of most Xiamen residents.

"The number of Chinese white dolphins is an important indicator for the ecological situation in the inshore sea areas," Zhou Lumin noted.

"Only when the oceanic ecosystem returns to normal, will the dolphin population rise again," Zhou added.

In 1994, Xiamen issued its first rules on the use of sea areas, regulations for oceanic environmental protection and regulations on conservation of the Chinese white dolphins.

Further, in 1997, the provincial Chinese white dolphin reserve of 5,500 hectares was set up in Xiamen to try to lure back the rare mammals.

"It's no easy task," said Zhou. "Dolphins feed on various kinds of fishes and shrimps and eat as much as seven kilograms of food at a time. They also require a high-quality water environment."

Meanwhile, "the environments suitable for dolphins are suitable for human beings as well," said Zhou.

Efforts have been made to improve and restore the marine ecosystem around Xiamen since the mid-1990s, with another 30-odd related laws and regulations issued following the 1994 rules and related public awareness campaigns built through media publicity.
Zhou divided the process of comprehensive management of marine ecology of Xiamen into three phases.

Firstly, pollution control. Waste materials were prevented from being directly discharged into the sea as more refuse disposal and sewage treatment plants were built.

Secondly, during the first decade of the 21st century, ecological reconstruction was put on top of the city's development agenda. Sea areas were allocated to more ecological and environment-friendly industries.

"Now we're in the third stage -- to restore the marine ecosystem of Xiamen," said Zhou, highlighting such projects as releasing fish fry into the sea, dredging silt from nearby sea areas and blasting part of the Gaoji Causeway to ease the water flow.

These efforts, said Professor Yu Dongsheng with the Xiamen-based Third Institute of the National Oceanography Bureau, had good results in conserving endangered animal species and expanding the living space of Chinese white dolphins.

"According to the data collected through marine monitoring stations, the number of dolphins around Xiamen has been increasing steadily since 2005," said Chen, adding that the population increase pointed to improvements in the quality of the marine ecosystem.

"When I was jogging along the beach one morning last October," Chen Wang, a citizen of Xiamen, recalled, "I saw three dolphins. And a month later, when I was on a boat, I saw five. Oh, they' re fantastic!"

More and more tourists will be able to share Chen Wang's excitement.

"We're going to set up some observation spots for tourists to watch dolphins more conveniently," said Zhou, hoping the move will also help people further understand the sea and act to protect it.

"Xiamen is a garden city in the sea. Isn't it wonderful to have dolphins around it?"

Sundance film explores cults

usatoday - One of the hot films at this year's Sundance Film Festival is Martha Marcy May Marlene, though its alliterative title can be hard to keep straight.

First-time director Sean Durkin's psychologically probing film about a girl who escapes from a cult in the Catskills had many people talking about the powerful performance of 20-year-old lead actress, Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the titular multi-named girl.

"I did lots of research into cults," said Durkin. "I wanted to do something about a cult that was contemporary, since so many times movies about them are set in the '60s and '70s."

In his research into a wide variety of cults, he found similar methods of manipulation and abuse, he said.

"It just seems there's a sort of consistency," he said. He also drew upon actual experiences of a friend who had left a cult and said it took her seven years to speak of her ordeal.

This film is about the difficult adjustment in the first couple of weeks after Martha (Olson) leaves the commune led by the creepily charismatic Patrick (Winter's Bone's John Hawkes).

"I know that it's not that this fictional, exaggerated thing," Olson said after the film's premiere. " I know a few people who told me their parents had been in a cult and I know someone who was born in a cult. It's everywhere. It's not this crazy, outlandish idea. It's rooted in something that exists."

Durkin had made a short film called Mary Last Seen exploring the various methods used to draw people into cults. From there he worked on the script at Sundance screenwriter's lab last January and the director's lab in June, shooting the film over six weeks in August and September.

"I've always been fascinated about why people feel the need to be in a group" said Durkin.

Olsen said the cast lived together communally during shooting on the upstate New York farm where much of the action takes place. There were no cellphones, only a single land line. In the evenings they would pass a guitar around — not unlike the cult depicted in the film.

The film is shot intercutting Martha's past experiences living in the rural house with fellow cult members and her present living with her sister (Sarah Paulson) and brother-in-law (Hugh Dancy), who are unaware of what she's been through.

"She's haunted by this thing," says Durkin. "Experiences like this take years to get over."

Pope's blood built into alter

smh - A vial containing blood drawn from Pope John Paul II shortly before he died will be installed as a relic in a Polish church soon after his beatification this year.

Piotr Sionko, the spokesman for the John Paul II Centre, said the vial would be encased in crystal and built into the altar of a church in the southern city of Krakow that is opening in May.

The exact date of the opening is not yet known, but it should be shortly after John Paul's beatification at the Vatican on May 1.
Advertisement: Story continues below

Mr Sionko said the idea came from Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, the Archbishop of Krakow and a long-time friend and secretary of the late pontiff.

The blood was drawn for medical tests at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome shortly before John Paul's death on April 2, 2005, and is now in Cardinal Dziwisz's possession, he said.

''It was the cardinal's proposal,'' Mr Sionko said. ''He is of the opinion that this is the most precious relic of John Paul II and should be the focal point of the church.''

The church in the Lagiewniki district is part of a centre that will be devoted to the memory and the teachings of the late pope - who was born Karol Wojtyla in Wadowice, southern Poland, and spent decades in Krakow.

Catholics are rejoicing over Pope Benedict XVI's announcement last week that he will beatify John Paul, the last main step before possible sainthood.

However, the idea of displaying the pope's relics has met with some reservations.

''The tradition of relics comes from mediaeval practices of teaching the Bible through images and symbols,'' said the Reverend Krzysztof Madel, a Jesuit priest in Nowy Sacz who has publicly questioned the usefulness of displaying John Paul's blood. ''But in today's rationalised world the message should rather come through teaching about someone's life.''

After John Paul's death, some Polish officials said they hoped his heart would be removed from his body and returned to his homeland for burial.

How to Meditate by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche

Often we think about meditation as some kind of unusual, holy or spiritual activity. As we practice that is one of the basic beliefs we try to overcome. The point is that meditation is completely normal: it is the mindful quality present in everything we do.

The main thing the Buddha discovered was that he could be himself —one hundred percent, completely. He did not invent meditation; there was nothing particularly to invent. The Buddha, the awakened one, woke up and realized that he did not have to try to be something other than what he was. So the complete teaching of Buddhism is how to rediscover who we are. …

When we sit, we sit with some kind of pride and dignity. Our legs are crossed, shoulders relaxed. We have a sense of what is above, a sense that something is pulling us up the same time we have a sense of ground. The arms should rest comfortably on the thighs. Those who cannot sit down on a cushion can sit in a chair. The main point is to be somewhat comfortable.

The chin is tucked slightly in, the gaze is softly focusing downward about four to six feet in front, and the mouth should be open a little. The basic feeling is one of comfort, dignity and confidence. If you feel you need to move, you should just move, just change your posture a little bit. So that is how we relate with the body.

And then the next part —actually the simple part— is relating with the mind. The basic technique is that we begin to notice our breath, we have a sense of our breath. The breath is what we're using as the basis of our mindfulness technique; it brings us back to the moment, back to the present situation. The breath is something that is constant —otherwise it's too late.

We put the emphasis on the outbreath. We don't accentuate or alter the breath at all, just notice it. So we notice our breath going out, and when we breathe in there is just a momentary gap, a space. There are all kinds of meditation techniques and this is actually a more advanced one. We're learning how to focus on our breath, while at the same time giving some kind of space to the technique.

Then we realize that, even though what we're doing is quite simple, we have a tremendous number of ideas, thoughts and concepts —about life and about the practice itself. And the way we deal with all these thoughts is simply by labeling them. We just note to ourselves that we're thinking, and return to following the breath.

So if we wonder what we're going to do for the rest of our life, we simply label it thinking. If we wonder what we're going to have for lunch, simply label it thinking. Anything that comes up, we gently acknowledge it and let it go.

There are no exceptions to this technique; there are no good thoughts and no bad thoughts. If you're thinking how wonderful meditation is, then that is still thinking. How great the Buddha was, that's still thinking. If you feel like killing the person next to you, just label it thinking. No matter what extreme you go to, it's just thinking, and come back to the breath. - Shambala.org

Paranormal / Spiritual News: New SRI Haunted Help Forum - A Paranormal Team Hoax?

Posted: 23 Jan 2011 07:42 PM PST

Is she missing? Or, a heinous hoax by a paranormal team seeking a chance at TV?

http://scifake.com/?p=3925 - If this information is correct (appears to be), this may be the most disturbing story ever reported by scifake and a HUGE slap in the face to ALL parents who reported a child missing.

This story reminds me of the Hot Air Balloon hoax. The father claimed the boy went missing in the balloon (after it took off) hoping to appear on a reality TV show.

Keep this one thought in mind, the domain name www.maddieismissing.com was purchased three months prior to this little girl's alleged disappearance.

Scifake will keep you updated with more information when it is available. NOW … go grab your barf bag because you will need it.

Now the story

First and foremost, if this little girl Maddie Woodward is missing …we pray for her safe return to her family. I (being a parent) cannot imagine the pain and sorrow a parents suffers when a child goes missing and our thoughts and prayers are with the parents.

I can recall my son (I have twins) went missing for 30 seconds at the zoo and those 30 seconds seemed like 30 hours and my heart was relieved when he poked his little head out from behind a toy house in the playground. Today, I still get chills just thinking about it and how incomplete my life would be without my children. Again, our prays and thoughts are with the family.

BUT, is the story true, or did this paranormal team team fabricate the story for a pathetic attempt to be famous?

I received information from a paranormal investigator that the reporting of this little girl's disappearance may be an elaborate bloodcurdling hoax by a paranormal team hoping to capture the attention of Hollywood. Here's an excerpt (click on photo for more) from this team's web site announcing the disappearance of Maddie Woodward …an innocent seven (7) year old girl.

Last summer we announced that the LAGP was shooting a paranormal reality television pilot. Despite all our preparations, we had to abandon the production during the first night of shooting due to unforeseen, and ultimately tragic, circumstances.

Since then, many rumors and half-truths about what really happened that night have cropped up. Due to various reasons, we cannot reveal all the details of what occurred. We are working with our producer to find a way to get the footage that was shot during the investigation into a form we can show everyone.

In the meantime, we have posted a few facts concerning the shoot and will update this page with new information when allowed to do so.

Unsubstantiated reports

Instantly, I became skeptical due to the lack of specific information, such as the exact location of the incident and a contact number for local police.

The photo to the right (please click on photo to read more) was taken right from this group's web site. Observe the URL (http://laghostpatrol.com/mim/) for authentication. Notice the information describing this little girl's disappearance; "Maddie vanished during the taping of a paranormal reality show at her house in the Hollywood Hills".

It sickens me that some person could be so mean spirited as to write and launch a hoax about a fictional missing child in a world where so many real children have disappeared.

Extensive searches of news and missing child databases have failed to find any information about a missing little girl called Maddie Woodward. In fact, in our opinion the web site is just the latest incarnation of a "missing child" hoax that has been circulating for sometime.

LA Police

Scifake did reach out to the Los Angeles Police Department to inquiry about this missing girl; however as of this writing we have not heard back from the department about this alleged claim and we are hoping the LA Police will follow-up with scifake.

More disturbing information

Maddieismissing.com – Timeline not correct

According to Whosis records (click on photo) the domain name "maddieismissing.com" was purchased three (3) months prior to this little girl's disappearance. Unless each member is EXTREMELY psychic, the information obtained from the Whois reference reinforces our first thoughts …. that this disappearance is probably a disturbing hoax! A hoax that should NOT go unnoticed.

Website vanished

Scifake did contact the LA Ghost Patrol (rolling my eyes and grabbing my side); however, (like the LA Police) as of this writing no one replied. BUT, to our surprise and dismay the web site www.maddieismissing.com is no longer available. Is this a coincidence or is this team trying to do away with evidence proving this may be a cock-and-bull story.

Contacted the Producer

I did reach out to the producer (Susan Bell) of this "so called reality show" and she told me the little girl is still missing. BUT, again the team at scifake found no evidence of this child missing. Below is an excerpt from our emails.

Susan,

I just wondering when the film for LA Ghost Patrol will be in theaters? Also, what ever happened to Maddie? Was she found?

subject Re: Maddie

We're still working with the footage & don't have firm plans. Would probably go the festival route as theatrical = big budget, at least in my world. And as far as I know the girl is still missing. Really odd circumstances.

Sent from my iPhone

A hotline for Maddie

The La Ghost Patrol even went as far to set up a hotline asking for help from the public. Yes, don't rub your eyes for you did read it correctly ….a hotline and if you think I'm kidding you can reach them at 323-389-LAGP. According to the web site, Maddie has been seen at various locations throughout West Hollywood.

If her disappearance was authenticate, you'd think a number to the police would be justified and available.

The video will show you www.maddieismissing.com BEFORE it was removed from the internet. Also, you can hear the Hotline and what was said at that number.

What would happen if Maddie (or a little girl like) was seen?

This is a horrible scenario; however, what if a good samaritan came up upon a little girl resembling Maddie and approached her? What if this samaritan was a father who lost his child an decided to take the law into his own hands?

So many horrible things can happen because after all, this is the World Wide Web and anyone can see her photo and information.

What should be done if this is a hoax?

In my opinion, this team should be denounced and put to shame. ALL paranormal teams should reach into the bowels of their souls and come together to denounce this team for this alleged hoaxing! In addition, the media (Fox News, AOL News, ABC, LA Times) should step up and report about this bamboozlement so people are aware that this little girl may be safe at home with her family.

What next?

Scifake will keep you updated with information. We expect this story to be priority.
