But if you live in Louisiana, you'll probably react differently....for a cross of salt, in the vernacular of hoodoo, means trouble. That is why Mr. and Mrs. Gauthier of New Orleans thought twice before sweeping away the cross of salt that they found on their porch. It is also why neighbors flocked to the Gauthier home to examine it and why the newspapers carried headlines about it. Voodoo and hoodoo has not abandoned New Orleans. Hoodoo and conjure are emerging from the shadows and into the lives of everyday people. There seems to be more root workers, two-headed doctors, conjurers, Voodooists, and hoodoos more than ever before. People are flocking to related social networking sites hungry for information about taking control of their lives, defending themselves from their enemies, thriving in a recession, and connecting to their dead loved ones. Websites featuring "love doctors", "rootworkers" and "Spiritual Mothers" offer a variety of psychic and spiritual services and carry the hard to get sticks, stones, roots and bones needed by the multifarious conjurer. Hoodoo no longer belongs to the poor black demographic of the deep South as historically depicted. Practitioners cross all racial, ethnic, political, geographic and socioeconomic line. So...what is hoodoo? In it's purest form, hoodoo taps into the elemental belief that every living thing has "Spirit." Every rock, tree, root, and stone is connected to a single Divine energy and as such, is Divine energy. The practitioner understands that it is the root that connects and grounds the universal life force; thus, the ultimate power lies within the root. When enslaved Africans came to the Louisiana delta directly from Africa, they arrived with intact, encyclopedic knowledge of the use of herbs, roots, bones, natural elements and their spiritual qualities. According to Dahomean cosmology, the knowledge of how to utilize the sacred herbs, roots, bones, and other natural elements for controlling and changing one's destiny was given to them from Papa Legba, who received the knowledge from the "Forest Spirits." As a result of slavery, tribes and families were separated, religious expression was forbidden and the traditional transmission of the venerable knowledge of the African religion of Vodou and spiritual traditions such as Ju Ju were all but stopped. Tragically, the trauma associated with slavery forced a separation of the magic and religious aspects of Vodou. The response to this psychic disturbance was to adopt and assimilate similar beliefs and practices of the indigenous peoples of North America and European immigrants to fill in the blanks...forming what we call hoodoo today. ***********  It was not until the 1930's that Louisiana Voodoo went underground when New Orleans became a major tourist destination. The slave trade brought the African belief in spirits and when the slaves got to New Orleans it was not long before the African Voodoo and the Roman Catholic Church mixed to become Louisiana Voodoo. Along came the Voodoo Queens like Marie Laveau who was known as the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. It is said that before long it became known that Marie Laveau was the strongest ever of the Voodoo Queens and Marie Laveau conducted private rituals behind her house on St Ann's street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It was Marie Laveau who encouraged her followers to attend Catholic Mass and it was Marie Laveau who mixed Catholic traditions and beliefs into her Voodoo to make it uniquely Louisiana Voodoo. Even today devout voodoo followers travel to Marie Laveau's tomb to try to get a favor from the Voodoo Queen herself. Marie Laveau was a devout Catholic up to the time of her death. Ever since her death people have claimed to see Marie Laveau walking through the French Quarter of New Orleans. Modern Voodoo has taken several directions: Spiritualist Reverends and Mothers who have their own churches, Hoodoos who integrate and work spells and superstitions, elements of European witchcraft and the occult, and traditionalists for whom the practice of Voodoo is a most natural and important part of their daily lives, a positive search for ancient roots and wisdom. The practice of Voodoo involves the search for higher levels of consciousness in the belief that -as indeed all of the ancient scriptures teach - it is we who must open the way towards the Gods. for when we call out from our hearts, the Gods hear and indeed are compelled to respond. I have heard of and seen Reptoid beings in the area 5 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona. The Superstition Mt's have been an area of encounters and is said to have both an alien base and laboratories under it. The military also have an underground base there and interact on experiment's with the aliens. About 20 years ago I encountered an individual that spent time exploring some of the old mines in the area. He had vanished for months before I ran into him again. I ask him where he had been all this time. Here is his story. He spotted a mine entrance on the west side of the main Mt. side. He said that the mine looked to be in good shape, so he started walking in the shaft. He had gone about a half mile in when he saw a sign that said no entrance beyond this point. The mine shaft was still in good shape, so he went in a 100 yards. He told me that people seemed to come out of the walls of the shaft. Men in black uniforms questioned him and then took him to a holding area in Mesa, Arizona for 72 hours. They questioned him again and found out that his home was in Colorado. They gave him a plane ticket to Denver, CO and told him never to come back to the Phoenix area. He asked me not to tell anyone that I had seem him. He wanted to pick up personal items that got left behind. I have never seen him after that. There are other stories of treasure hunters going into old mine shafts and finding holographic walls in the shaft. They did not try to enter the area behind the wall as they feared that they may not be able to get back out. They told me that they took a round rock and rolled it through the screen and heard it roll for some distance. One of them reached through the screen with a flash light in his hand. He turned the flash light back toward the screen, but could not see any light. He said that he withdrew his arm as he had the feeling that some thing was back there and he didn't want it to grab his arm and drag him in. I asked the men to take me up there and show me the mine. They all said no way they were going back in there. We got a topo map out and they showed me the area that they had encountered the wall. I did go into the area to search but was never able to find the mine. This is not strange as other people have found opening and marked the entrance with a pyramid of large rocks and left to get lights and more people and equipment. When they got back, the rocks are still there as they had stacked them, but the entrance is gone! There have been sighting of reptoids about 9 feet tall in that area. As soon as they sense that they are being watch they vanish. People have also seen lizard beings about the size of a man with bat like wings and a tail. They fly out to opening in the cliffs at twilight and also vanish if since that they are being watched. The Native Americans have seen these things for hundreds of years and have legends about them. They say that they are shape shifters and can make you see them in any form they want. I found this out on a personal encounter with a Reptoid I encountered on a trail. As I was walking up an inner trail in the Mt's I looked up and saw a man coming towards me on the trail. He had appeared out of thin air. As I walked toward him I noticed his eyes, they were reptoid, vertical slits. When he sensed that I knew what he was, he hit me with a pshycic blow that I can only describe as being hit in the head with a sledge hammer. It stunned me and almost drove me to my knees. As I shook this off I looked up and he was gone. I had a headache for 2 days after that and think that he could have killed me if he wanted to. This is just some of the strange thing that have been seen up there. We have seen different types of alien craft that appear to enter the main Mt. Ghost orbs and UFO orbs that have been seen in different area for hundreds of years that disappear at different old mines, wells, and some just enter the face of the Mt's. I would love to get in touch with a well equipped investigative group and have them check out some of the strong magnetic fields that may act as dimensional portholes where some of these creatures come and go. The fact that the encounter in Missouri was in a Navy storage area is no surprise. They have been given reign over housing UFO and aliens since the formation of MJ-12 after the Roswell crash. One day our Government may tell us the truth on there involvement with alien encounters and tech that has been traded for their abduction of us. **********    There were four occurrences where light/objects appeared in frames captured by the camera occurring during the hours of darkness on September, 6th, 13th, 14th & 15th. The primary event occurred on September 14th. I am including 3 images: Series 1: Image MGDC0378. This image is the primary image and speaks for itself. Series 2: Image MGDC0372. This image contains a shaft of light that appears in the upper left hand corner of the frame. Series 3: Image MGDC0375. This image contains a shaft of light that appears to be coming from a source in the upper center of the image projecting toward the game camera as if it were searching. This camera was strapped to a tree overlooking a mineral block and corn that was being frequented by wild hogs and other animals. The location is in a low area surrounded by forest and there are no sources of light present in that area. The camera was facing from the east to the west. The cylindrical light in MGDC0378 appears to be spinning and based on other known objects in the frame appears to be approximately 1 - 2 liters in size. All images were capture on a SD card and I am in possession of the card with all images as they were originally captured. There are a number of other images of interest on this card but none as significant as the ones I'm attaching. Those images are available if you have further interest in them. ********** Hello Lon - In 1987, I experienced an event in which I later recalled while under hypnosis. After the regression session, I was able to remember some other details including that I had missed about three hours during the incident. I was living in Arizona near the Santa Catalina mountains. One afternoon as I was sitting in a lounge chair on our back porch I suddenly realize that I was being dragged into a craft by two small aliens. The next thing I remembered was waking up on a table inside the small craft. A guide greeted me and gave me something to drink. I believe that it was a stimulant of some kind because I was not sleepy after I drank the substance. In fact, the taste was quite pleasing. I was then taken out of the craft, looked around noticed I was standing on top of a hill. It was dark, but I noticed a light near a cavern. I walked up to this area and it was then that I saw a man, dressed in a red military type jump suit. My guide seemed to know this man as he greeted him. I also noticed that he wore some type of patch and was carrying an automatic weapon. When we walked into the tunnel, I realized they we going right into the side of a large hill or mountain. There we met with another guard in red and I saw a computerized checkpoint with two cameras on each side. To my left was a large groove where a small transit vehicle carried people further inside. To my right I saw a long hallway where there were many offices. We took the transit car and went for what seemed to be a very long time to another secure area. I was then told to step onto some type of device that looked like a scale and face the computer screen. I saw lights flashing and numbers computing and then a card was issued with holes punched into it. It appeared to be an ID card. My guide did not speak much but did tell me that we had just entered Level One of the facility. I was eventually transported to a lower level where I witnessed additional armed guards. I was then taken down another hall and there I noticed a horrible putrid smell. I then saw huge tanks with computerized gauges hooked to them and a huge arm-like device that extended from the top of some tubing down into the tanks. In a large laboratory like room I noticed a small gray being with his back turned to me working on something at a computer. I was then told to sit on a table in the middle of the room. About this time a man (human) dressed like a doctor entered the room. He wore a white lab coat with a badge. The temperature in the room seemed awfully cold. By this time I was frustrated and began to cry and to tremble. Then suddenly I felt a stabbing pain. screamed and the human doctor stood next to me and rubbed something over my stomach. The pain immediately subsided. Soon I became drowsy and was returned to the porch. When I awoke I was laying on the porch floor by the door. For several months after that day I knew something had happened but I was unable to comprehend what it was. That is why I sought medical help. As there appeared no way in which the slow-moving, four-foot "mysterious blob" could have got into the lake naturally, the thing's discoverers - theorising that it must have come from above - have dubbed it the "alien pod". Reportedly the "pod" was discovered by office worker Tracy Collier while out walking her boss's dog by the manmade lake in City Center at Oyster Point, a development in Newport News, Virginia. "The lake is behind our office," says Collier's excellently-named colleague Charles Schmuck. "Tracy was walking by the lake, saw the object, and asked everyone else to come out and take a look." It was another colleague, Dale Leonart, who came up with the extra-terrestrial angle on seeing the lifeform. "It has to be an alien pod," he stated authoritatively - though later reportedly adding that alternatively the thing might be "some type of sponge". The puzzled office workers decided to call in expert help from boffins at the local Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences (VIMS). They sent an email with photos attached (see above) which read in part: The object is about 4 feet in diameter. It has moved about 6 feet down the shoreline in the last 24 hours. It 'jiggles' when the waves in the lake hit it… when we prod it, it seems to be spongy feeling… The texture appears to be that of a rock with algae spots on it — it is brown and yellow, with a pattern of some type. Sadly the VIMS experts pooh-poohed the alien landing theory. After a heated internal debate, they identified the blobaceous lakeside intruder as a very large colony of Pectinatella magnifica — aka the "magnificent bryozoan". According to the boffins' description: Colonies of Pectinatella magnifica feature a surface layer of adjoining "rosettes" — each with 12-18 animals or "zooids" — around a central jelly-like mass that is 99% water. The colonies can be free floating or attached to a piling or other submerged object. One study even showed that young colonies of P magnifica can actually move on their own by coordinated pulsing of the individual animals. VIMS prof Carl Hershner says that the blobby hive-jelly creature eats algae and thus is "actually a good thing to have around, despite its looks. It's not a sign of bad water quality, and it doesn't hurt fish. It can clog pipes, though, and it will be smelly if it's removed from the water." NOTE: seems to be related to the bryozoan 'blobs' found in several North Carolina sewers a few years ago...Lon ********** Young Ghana Witch Has 21 Sex Organs peacefmonline - An 18-year-old student at Begoro District of the Eastern Region became the centre of attraction at the powerful house of Professor Aziz Sabo at Kukukorusan, near Suhum when she allegedly confessed having 21 female organs. According to the self-confessed witch, her organs contained scorpions which she uses to woo big men including some notable politicians and businessmen to bed but later led them into all sorts of problems. Throwing more light on how she acquired the witchcraft powers, she noted that her uncle gave the spirit to her through food at a tender age of four. She alleged that same night after retiring to bed, the uncle came calling her spiritually to accompany him to their place of meeting which she did. That must be some powerful ju-ju in order to pull that off...Lon **********  Giant Hole Opens up in German Town spiegel - A giant crater 20 meters deep opened up in the German town of Schmalkalden on Monday. No one was hurt. Authorities say the landslide was caused by natural factors rather than mining. A gaping hole 30 meters (98 feet) in diameter and 20 meters (65.6 feet) deep opened up in the eastern German town of Schmalkalden early on Monday morning. An empty vehicle plunged into it but no one was hurt, even though the chasm is in the middle of a residential area. A total of 25 people were evacuated from six houses and soil is continuing to crumble from the edge of the crater, police said. Wolfgang Peter, a resident, said he had been woken by a roaring sound at 3 a.m. on Monday morning. "First I heard the rushing of water and then it sounded as if a dozen gravel trucks were being emptied," Peter told the regional newspaper Thüringer Allgemeine. He went outside to find out who was carrrying out roadworks at that time of night and found himself standing on the edge of a giant crater right next to his house. 'Natural Cause' Likely Ralf Luther, a regional official, said 10,000 to 12,000 cubic meters of soil had slipped. A line of garages right on the edge of the hole is at risk of plunging into it and cracks have appeared in nearby houses. Luther said residents were lucky not to have been hurt. Experts are at the scene to find out what caused the hole. The environment and agriculture minister for the state of Thuringia, Jürgen Reinholz, said: "I assume that there is a natural cause for the landslide." He ruled out that salt mining could have been the cause. A spokesman for the ministry said the region is prone to landslides because of its geological makeup and pointed out a similar case in the town of Tiefenort where five houses became uninhabitable when a two-meter deep crater opened up in January. ********** Pentagon Building System For Massive E-Mail Privacy Violation ACLU - Here we go again. Earlier this month the Pentagon announced a new effort to build a system aimed at allowing it to scan billions of communications in order to detect "anomalies" in people's behavior that will predict who is about to snap and turn into a homicidal maniac — or, perhaps, leak damaging documents to a reporter. Citing the case of Maj. Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist charged with killing 13 people in Fort Hood, Texas, the Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) wants to try to identify, before they happen, "malevolent actions" by insiders within the military. The new project is called ADAMS, for Anomaly Detection at Multiple Scales, and anyone who remembers the battles over the Bush Administration's "Total Information Awareness" (TIA) program may be experiencing a major flashback right about now. TIA, also a DARPA project, was based on a vision of pulling together as much information as possible about as many people as possible into an "ultra-large-scale" database, making that information available to government officials, and sorting through it to try to identify terrorists. Eventually shut down by Congress, it was probably the closest thing to a truly comprehensive monitor-everyone "Big Brother" program that has ever been seriously contemplated in the United States. Alberto Bambini, left-wing mayor of Acquapendente, said he wanted to draw attention to a decision by the regional governor to close the town's hospital. From 1 January 2011, the town will have little more than emergency care. The mayor said people should avoid any sickness or disease needing hospital treatment, particularly if urgent. Acknowledging he was acting "provocatively", he warned that anyone who falls foul of the town by-law did so "under penalty of being forcibly transported to the Belcolle Hospital" some 30 miles away, "or of being fined in proportion to the seriousness of their pathology or disease". Mr Bambini has also ordered fellow citizens to avoid any behaviour that could jeopardise their health, advising them not to leave their homes too often or practise any sport. He told the BBC he was aiming to "turn the spotlight on the problems citizens in this area have". The mayor said he had acted after an incident involving a group of mayors and Lazio regional governor Renata Polverini. According to Mr Bambini, when a delegation of Lazio mayors affected by the cuts requested a meeting with Ms Polverini in late September, they were prevented from entering the regional headquarters and the Italian military police, the carabinieri, were called. The mayors were later seen individually by the regional governor, he added. Acquapendente's mayor has also threatened to request the town's annexation by the nearby Umbria region, because he believes Rome absorbs all the resources of the Lazio area. Reports say Lazio has the biggest deficit in its health care budget in Italy. While Italy's health care is respected worldwide, the government has had to cut its public budget considerably in the wake of the financial crisis.  |

Mike Greene, a former chief of fraud investigation in New Jersey, claims he captured video of Bigfoot in the Uwharrie National Forest over a year ago. "In the middle of the night, I was awakened by what I call, 'Darth Vader' breaths," said Greene. Greene said he was able to capture a thermal image of Sasquatch that night. "The image is the first comprehensive thermal image of a Sasquatch… even though I admit that it's blurry," said Greene. In the video, Greene claims you can see a big creature come out of the woods and grab a candy bar that was set up to attract the Sasquatch. "It can't be anything else, I mean, it literally can't be anything else," said Greene. Greene said many people have said the image is just a guy in a fat suit or gorilla suit, but he claims the thermal image proves it's something different. "The heat signature - which is what you're looking at…the heat signature would be completely different. It would be splotchy," said Greene. "You could put a guy in a Bigfoot costume and fool night vision, because that's just like a video camera. But if you put a thermal image on him, that's going to look completely different." After seeing the video, Greene was convinced he had captured video of the much-discussed creature Bigfoot. "Yeah, there's no doubt about it," said Greene. Greene admits that he, and the rest of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, are surprised there has not been better proof after several years of searching and many attempts to get a glimpse of the evasive alleged creature. "We have, in the organization, maybe 200 game cams out looking for Sasquatches. We haven't got one lousy picture of a Sasquatch, which doesn't make any sense, unless you think that maybe these things are so smart that they either see the game cam," said Greene. Greene said there is no doubt he caught one of the rare images of the increasingly evasive creature. "Clear as a bell, absolutely unequivocally, no doubt what it was - to me, anyway," said Greene. A majority of scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a legitimate animal, in part because some estimate large numbers necessary to maintain a breeding population. Greene said fossils of a sasquatch-like creature have been unearthed in China. He claims the creature came over the land bridge that used to exist between Asia and Alaska. ********** Russia has decided to get into the Yeti / Bigfoot PR frenzy as well: RIAN - Russia's Western Siberia will celebrate Yeti Day on November 11, the head of the regional culture and national policy department, Larisa Zauervayn, said on Tuesday. In February 2009, the Kemerovo regional administration released a report that local hunters had spotted "some hairy humanoid creatures with a height of 1.5-2 meters [5'6"-6'] near the Azass Cave in Mount Shoriya, near Siberia's renowned ski resort, Sheregesh. The report was illustrated with a photograph from inside the cave showing the footprint of an unidentified creature. Several advertising and PR experts said that Bigfoot reports were probably teasers for attracting tourists to the region. Three months after the sensational news tourism agencies had introduced excursions to "Yeti's Cave." "This creature is extraordinary and deserves, in our opinion, its own holiday. On Mount Shoriya Yeti has sparked a total mania," the head of Kuzbass's Tashtagol District, Vladimir Makuta, said. "Every year Yeti Day celebrations will mark the start of the ski season with thousands of ski lovers from all over Russia gathering on Mount Shoriya," Zauervayn said, adding that Kemerovo Governor Aman Tuleyev is likely to take part in the Yeti-dedicated festivities. According to the head of the department of anthropology at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology in Moscow, anthropologists have never seen or studied the body of a Bigfoot or yeti, although there are numerous reports of their sightings throughout the world.
