M6 Paranormal Crash Update: Suspect Confirms Secret Code

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 09:44 AM PST

In yet another twist in the ongoing investigations into the incidents on the M6 and in Paris the detective leading the investigation in the UK has confirmed that the police are now desperately trying to crack what they believe is a secret code.

PRLog - Nov 25, 2010 – Also that the main suspect has been using this code to communicate with their co-conspirators.

It is the latest in a set of bizarre facts to emerge since the arrest of the suspect in Manchester just over two weeks ago. Detective Silverton has also confirmed that the suspect remains in custody of their own volition but refuses to comment on their identity.

As with the previous interview I was able to conduct with Detective Silverton, I was driven to what I believe is a disused underground bunker in the Cheshire countryside and allowed to ask a limited amount of questions; the interview was then vetted and approved for release.

Further revelations have also emerged about one of the bodies discovered in Paris.

Detective Silverton confirmed that both he and the lead investigators in Paris are pooling what they know and that one of the autopsies on the victims in Paris showed a 'considerable difference in the accepted chemical makeup of blood normally found in a person who has lived and breathed this atmosphere'

When pushed to confirm what this meant Detective Silverton said that he was not going to suggest any medical interpretation for this and that there were 'several possibilities' currently being reviewed.

I then returned to the code and the alleged 1of26 document that had been circling the investigation from the start.

Detective Silverton confirmed that this was document they are investigating, 'initially we thought this was part of a scam, a way to create the illusion of paranormal or supernatural activity and then go on to sell artifacts on the black market based on it, but we now believe this is not the case as there seems to be no apparent motive to its existence'

He also stated the evidence for this was the dramatic change in the content of the document and also confirmed that two of their most experienced code crackers were now investigating the document.

Asked if they were nearing any solution to the code Detective Silverton commented that, 'we are still looking at it and are confident that we will be able to interpret what is being said. However we are also scouring many of the forums that have reported this case in search of clues and would ask anyone who has come into contact with these people or has knowledge of the code to put any suggestions they have onto the relevant forums and mark them 1of26. By doing this we can track these posts and see if they are useful to the case. I must also state that we are not interested in any person who places these posts, we're only interested in anything that will help us crack the code; we are confident that we have our main suspect and are currently following up a specific lead they have given us'

I asked Detective Silverton if this was the new way for the police to ask for witnesses and was told that given the sensitive nature of this enquiry they felt that any other mechanism they could use could see them becoming overwhelmed by the resultant influx of information.

Fortean / Oddball News: Giant Crocodile, Priest Hires Hitman and Bizarre Court Appearence

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 09:19 AM PST

A man measures the distance between the two back feet of a suspected crocodile that could be over 8 metres in length at Normanton

8m Crocodile Lurks in River in Queensland, Pastor Says

A PASTOR says he has evidence that an 8m croc lurks in a river in Queensland's Gulf country.

Pastor Elton Thompson said he took pictures of slide marks from the crocodile last Wednesday on the Norman River at Normanton.

"I haven't actually seen the crocodile but it was the slide marks that was left behind,'' Pastor Thompson said.

He said he took his measuring tape down to the bank.

It's paw imprint spanned 25cm, and some claw marks went into the mud 2.5cm deep.

It measured 1m between its two back feet.

"We're predicting the croc is 1.5m to 2m across its girth,'' he said.

"There's a possibility that the croc is 8m.''

Normanton is famous for its love affair with crocs.

An 8.64m alleged replica of a croc shot in the area in the 1950s sits proudly on the town's main street.

Pastor Thompson said the latest find is just as big.

"It's a big croc,'' he said.

"A few people have seen it in water. They're all saying it's about that size, if not bigger. It's pretty much the biggest croc they've ever seen.''

Crocodiles are regularly seen in the Gulf country and Pastor Thompson said locals aren't spooked.

"It doesn't bother anyone. There are crocs in the rivers up here everywhere. It is part of the country.''

Priest in sex case now charged with trying to hire hitman

chron - A Catholic priest charged with sexually assaulting a teenage boy in 2008 in the rural parish where he worked west of here was rearrested last week in Dallas and charged with trying to hire someone to kill his alleged victim.

Father John M. Fiala, 52, was in Dallas County Jail on one count of solicitation to commit murder and two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, officials said. A judge set bail at $700,000.

The sexual assault charges were part of indictments handed up last week in Howard County, which brought to six the number of charges Fiala faces that involve the boy, who was 16 at the time of the alleged offenses.

The Texas Rangers and Department of Public Safety troopers arrested Fiala on Thursday after he negotiated a murder arrangement with an undercover officer at his residence in Garland, DPS spokesman Tom Vinger said.

A DPS investigation began Nov. 11, when a neighbor of Fiala tipped off Edwards County Sheriff Don Letsinger. "I received a call from an unnamed informant who was having problems with the way Fiala was acting," the sheriff said.

The neighbor "had been solicited (to commit the murder) himself, and he didn't want anything to do with that," Letsinger said. Fiala reportedly offered the neighbor $5,000 to kill the teen, the sheriff said.
Boy relieved

Attorney Tom Rhodes, who is representing the boy in a lawsuit in Bexar County, said his client is relieved that Fiala is again in custody.

"Fiala had threatened him with physical violence and threatened to kill him before, and he was very afraid of that," Rhodes said.

In September, the priest was indicted on three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault by threat in Edwards County, where Fiala is accused of raping the teen at gunpoint.

Fiala's attorney did not return a phone call seeking comment Monday.

Fiala had been living in Dallas County since he was released from Edwards County Jail after posting $100,000 bail Sept. 27. A fugitive task force arrested him in Kansas on the Edwards County charges, and he was extradited to Texas in September.

Rhodes filed the lawsuit last spring over the sexual assault allegations, also naming the archdioceses of San Antonio and Omaha, Neb., and Fiala's religious order, the Robstown-based Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity.

The lawsuit claims all three entities covered up Fiala's record of abuse, which they have denied. Former San Antonio Archbishop José Gomez and Fiala's religious order removed the priest from active ministry in October 2008.

In a hearing here Monday, a judge rejected the Omaha archdiocese's argument that Texas was not a proper jurisdiction for the lawsuit.

The sexual assault charges stem from Fiala's time as administrator of Sacred Heart of Mary in Rocksprings, which is about 110 miles west of San Antonio. Fiala was working for the Archdiocese of San Antonio but was still a member of the religious order.

Pro-Google Vigilantes Throw Eggs At Houses That Opt Out Of Street View

businessinsider = This is deeply weird: Google fans in Germany are throwing eggs at the houses of people who choose to have their home blurred out in Street View, Search Engine Land reports.

Google sends vans through the streets of cities around the world taking photographs for Street View. The company lets home owners request that their houses be blurred out in Street View.

Apparently, some Germans really, really like Street View, and don't appreciate the blurring. Houses that are blurred out have had eggs hurled at them, and notes saying "Google's cool" attached to them.

We're trying to think of some possible motivation for this, but we're coming up empty.

Zimbabwean man appeared in court with his bowels in his hand

newzimbabwe - A suspected motorcycle thief spent two months in rema-nd prison with his bowels protruding from his belly after detectives shot him as he allegedly tried to disarm them.

The High Court was on Monday shocked when Boas Chiwanza, who was visibly in pain, limped into the courtroom with his bowels hanging out.

As he held them in his palm, Justice Yunus Omerjee ordered prison authorities to immediately take Chiwanza to hospital.

As a self-actor, Chiwanza had come to apply for bail before the judge.

Detectives reportedly shot Chiwanza on his arrest on September 27, 2010 as he tried to disarm them.

Chiwanza, who struggled to speak, told the court that he had not received appropriate treatment since his arrest and most of his doctors' appointments had failed due to circumstances beyond his control.

The Zimbabwe Prison Service confirmed Chiwanza was on November 2 and 9 this year taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital, but failed to see a doctor.

It was also confirmed that on October 25, there was no ambulance to take Chiwanza to the hospital.

But the ZPS maintained Chiwanza was admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital on September 30 and discharged into custody on October 11.

In its papers, ZPS stated that Chiwanza was getting painkillers and colostomy bags from the prison clinic.

Justice Omerjee immediately directed the officer-in-charge of Harare Remand Prison, Chief Superintendent Billiot Chibaya, to ensure Chiwanza was immediately taken to hospital.

"He should be urgently treated for his protruding intestines and to be held at such hospital for that purpose.

"This court should be advised as to compliance with the form of this court order by relevant authorities," ordered Justice Omerjee.

Yesterday, a prison officer in the bail court handed over to the judge a copy of a letter from prison authorities confirming Chiwanza had been taken to hospital in compliance with the order.

After reading the letter in court, Justice Omerjee said: "I would like to thank Chief Superintendent Chibaya for giving feedback to the court."

Chiwanza almost broke down as he explained his case before Justice Omerjee.

He said each time he was taken to hospital he could not see the doctor and that he had not received proper treatment.

Responding to Chiwanza's claims, Chief Supt Chibaya wrote to the Attorney-General's Office on November 17 saying they had made efforts to have the suspect treated.

"Please be advised that the above-named prisoner (Boas Chiwanza) was initially admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital on September 30, 2010 with a gunshot wound.

"He was discharged into prison on October 11, 2010 where he was being treated.

"He was supposed to go for review at Parirenyatwa Hospital on October 25 2010 but did not go because the ambulance was not available . . ."

Chief Supt Chibaya added that on two more occasions, Chiwanza went to Parirenyatwa and failed to see a doctor.

He said Chiwanza was then re-booked for November 23.

"The prisoner is receiving painkillers and colostomy bags at the prison clinic. The main treatment outstanding is closure of the opening which is supposed to be done at Parirenyatwa Hospital," said Chief Supt Chibaya.

Chiwanza's brother, Thomas, and another alleged accomplice Collen Viano, were on Monday released on US$50 bail each with the State's consent.

Allegations against the three arose between September 26 and November 2008, when they allegedly connived and stole three motorcycles from Solar Farm in Nyabira.

It is alleged Chiwanza was arrested while riding one of the stolen bikes two months later.

The State says he escaped from police custody and was on the run until September this year when cops received information that he was now back at his home.

On September 27, 2010 detectives raided Chiwanza's home and arrested him but he was shot when he attempted to disarm them.

The other two were arrested later, but the two motorcycles were not recovered.

North Korea: Bizarre and Dangerous

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 08:47 AM PST

"When provoking a war of aggression, we will hit back, beginning with the US!"

Sabre rattling on the Korean Peninsula has once again started...this time resulting in artillery fire by the North Koreans. So, what is the mindset of North Korea, the most isolated and most bizarre country in the world? The following are examples why tangling with this bunch can have unpredictable results.

#1 The first "Great Leader" of North Korea, Kim Il-Sung, is deeply revered in North Korea. In fact, there are over 500 statues of Kim Il-sung scattered throughout the country. Many Koreans apparently believe that Kim Il-Sung actually created the world.

#2 It is said that hanging up pictures of Kim Il-Sung is compulsory for every household in North Korea.

#3 Millions of North Korean citizens have literally starved to death over the past 10 years.

#4 The North Korean constitution actually guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

#5 It has been reported that during times of extreme hunger in North Korea, cannibalism is quite common. Several years ago the Washington Post shared what one 29-year-old female defector told them about what is going on inside the country....

"When one is very hungry, one can go crazy. One woman in my town killed her 7-month-old baby, and ate the baby with another woman."

The sad thing is that the 29-year-old female defector didn't even consider what she had seen to be wrong....

"I can't condemn cannibalism. Not that I wanted to eat human meat, but we were so hungry. It was common that people went to a fresh grave and dug up a body to eat meat. I witnessed a woman being questioned for cannibalism. She said it tasted good."

#6 In 1987, North Korea began construction on the Ryugyong Hotel, which would have been the tallest hotel in the world if it had been finished on schedule in 1989. Instead, construction of the bizarre 105-story skyscraper that somewhat resembles a pyramid was suspended in 1992, and the unfinished structure was just a massive concrete shell towering over Pyongyang completely empty for the next 16 years. Work began once again on the project in 2008, and it is anticipated that it will finally be completed in 2012.

#7 One of North Korea's greatest "tourist attractions" is the Pueblo - a U.S. naval vessel that the North Koreans captured from "the imperialist Americans" back in 1968.

#8 According to North Korean media, Kim Jong-il is a phenom at just about everything. It is claimed that he shot 38 under par (including 11 holes-in-one) the first time he ever played golf.

#9 Christians are slaughtered in some of the most brutal ways imaginable in North Korea. The following is just one example.....

"While Interviewee 17 was in the North Korean Army, his unit was dispatched to widen the highway between Pyongyang and the nearby port city of Nampo. They were demolishing a vacated house in Yongkang county, Yongkang district town, when in a basement between two bricks they found a Bible and a small notebook that contained 25 names, one identified as pastor, two as chon-do-sa (assistant pastors), two as elders, and 20 other names, apparently parishioners, identified by their occupations. The soldiers turned the Bible and notebook over to the local branch of Department 15 of the Korean Workers Party (KWP), but the Party officials said it was up to the military police unit, Bowisaryungbu gigwanwon, to investigate. Tracked down at their place of work through the listing of occupation in the notebook, the 25 persons were picked up without formal arrest by the military bowibu. The interviewee was not aware of any judicial procedures for those seized. In November 1996, the 25 were brought to the road construction site. Four concentric rectangular rows of spectators were assembled to watch the execution. Interviewee 17 was in the first row. The five leaders to be executed - the pastor, two assistant pastors, and two elders - were bound hand and foot and made to lie down in front of a steamroller. This steamroller was a large construction vehicle imported from Japan with a heavy, huge, and wide steel roller mounted on the front to crush and level the roadway prior to pouring concrete. The other twenty persons were held just to the side. The condemned were accused of being Kiddokyo (Protestant Christian) spies and conspiring to engage in subversive activities. Nevertheless, they were told, "If you abandon religion and serve only Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, you will not be killed." None of the five said a word. Some of the fellow parishioners assembled to watch the execution cried, screamed out, or fainted when the skulls made a popping sound as they were crushed beneath the steamroller. Interviewee 17 thought, at the time, that these church people were crazy. He thought then that religion was an "opiate," and it was stupid for them to give up their lives for religion. He heard from the soldiers who took away the other twenty prisoners that they were being sent to a prison camp."

#10 A few years ago when China was sending humanitarian aid into North Korea the North Koreans decided that they would just start keeping the trains as well. The Chinese crews were sent back over the border on foot.

#11 A song entitled "No Motherland Without You" was written specifically for Kim Jong-il and is one of the most popular songs in North Korea. It is regularly sung by the North Korean military.

"Do not forget the US imperialist wolves!"

The west is in a no-win situation here. Right now the rest of the world is getting quite nervous, because a war between nuclear powers could get out of hand very quickly. If North Korea hits South Korea with nuclear weapons, it seems almost certain that the U.S. would hit North Korea with nukes. The death and destruction that would result would be unprecedented.

So what does China think about all of this? Well, North Korea would not be acting so belligerent right now if they did not have permission from China. Perhaps China is trying to send a message to the West.

On the other hand, there are others that believe that it could go a lot deeper than that. The regime in North Korea is on the verge of collapsing in on itself. Even the Chinese are getting tired of propping up their government and dealing with their nonsense. The truth is that a new Korean war could benefit the Chinese in several ways.

First of all, South Korea (the biggest U.S. ally in the region) would be absolutely devastated even if they "won" the war. That would cripple an incredibly important geopolitical chess piece.

Secondly, the U.S. would be embroiled in yet another costly conflict and would undoubtedly suffer some costly losses as well. The opinion of the rest of the world toward the United States would darken even more - especially if nuclear weapons were used.

Thirdly, China could gain a ton of "leverage" by stabbing North Korea in the back after the conflict had started. In return for supporting the U.S./South Korean coalition, China could ask for all kinds of things that they wouldn't even dream of getting right now. In fact, it is not unthinkable to imagine China walking away with a significant chunk of North Korea in the aftermath of the war. The Chinese government is regularly involved in "border disputes" (just Google it), and China would never pass up a chance to pick up a big slice of new territory.

In the end, the "winner" of any new war on the Korean peninsula would probably be China. The U.S. would get rid of the "North Korean problem", but it would come at a great cost. It is hard to imagine any scenario that would end up greatly benefiting the United States.

Let us hope that a new all-out Korean war does not erupt. North Korea is ruled by delusional leaders who are insane enough to actually use nuclear weapons.

Are you convinced yet? The truth is that North Korea is very, very dangerous and they should not be underestimated. Let us hope that the United States never has to fight another war with them. - www.bezinga.com

Sea Monster Scare in Barbados

Posted: 25 Nov 2010 08:21 AM PST

nationnews - THERE'S A "MONSTER" in Barbados' waters, says fisherman Joel Brooker.

"Monster" was the word Brooker used to describe a "strange looking species" he and his fishing partner Wendel Bryan encountered on Monday. They were fishing three-and-a-half miles from Shower Bank area, which is south west of Hilton Barbados.

As he described the experience to the DAILY NATION, Brooker said that the "monster" was 40 feet in length, with a flat head, two eyes and "a mouth which was opened for almost the entire time I saw it".

"When we saw it coming towards us, we thought it was a sunfish.

But when I saw the length and look of this thing, I thought it was an unusual submarine.

"So then I started preparing myself to run into the cabin but when I looked and saw small fishes on this thing, I told myself this thing is alive.

"I could see that it was not a whale, a shark, or anything that looked like it belonged to the sea family . . . so I said this thing is a monster. I wanted to know what this thing doing in Barbados' water at three-and-a-half miles," said the fisherman.

"I took up a club that I beat sharks with to weaken them and I went and stand up by the engine and pelt this thing with all the strength and force I had and hit it at the top of it head and the club hit this thing so hard and this thing ain't move.

"It took ten minutes before the Spirit told me to put the boat in gear. But the boat wasn't moving because the anchor was on the ground. Then the boat started to move."

He added: "I couldn't run anywhere, but it's a good thing I listened to the Spirit to get out the anchor, start the engine and head home – the fishing trip was over," he said.

Brooker said he prayed that other fishermen "will see this thing and get away from it".

He warned them to "don't get scared and frightened like me, but take caution and beware of that monster".

"While the boat was moving this thing was still coming, so then I turned to my second man and said I hope I am not Jonah that God give me a message and I disobeyed and God send this fish for me . . . . I think this fish is dangerous and I want other fishermen to be aware of this thing because it ain't shunning boats, it coming right at right.

"I couldn't sleep last night because all night I was studying this thing," said Brooker, who was traumatised to the extent that he refused to go fishing with his partner yesterday.

Thanks to Michael for the heads up!
